Reviews
the gameplay actually feels great when you remember this all started as a Nintendo DS game, so adapting it to something like this can’t have been easy. There’s loads of potential here and it’s just awesome seeing everything in modern graphics, it genuinely feels like the series is coming back. Hopefully they keep updating and improving things because this could turn into something really special for the community.

Very good game from Level 5. There are some flaws, and I’ll explain my opinion and thoughts. Gameplay : I like the gameplay, it's easy to understand and accessible. Most hissatsus are well remade, and not “butchered” like some say. The biggest issue is the passive system. Passives existed before but weren’t THAT strong. It got nerfed with the Orion Part 2 update into a ranking system, but it’s still bad. You end up grinding too much for a decent competitive team (which is the worst part of the game). Solo content isn’t hard enough against fully built teams. Aside from passives, the evolution system is bad, and the whole skill board needs a full rework. Each character has 6 slots, 3 already filled. Two are “Hyper” (Keshins, Souls, etc.), but slots restrict move types. For example, Beta has 3 shot slots, 1 dribble, and 2 hypers. This limits builds a lot. Some characters are fine, others aren’t. Another issue: evolving moves requires duplicates, and with limited slots, movesets become very restricted. Last issue: Keshin Armed. You must set it before matches instead of activating it freely. The old system was better. Everything else is fine gameplay-wise. Story Mode : The story follows Sasanami Unmei at Nagumohara, a school without a football club. His goal is to build a team and enter the Football Frontier. There are 7 main characters: Unmei, Sakurazaki, Kisoji, Raika, Shisendo, Kameo, and Yagyu. All are interesting, but not equally developed. The other 5 players are scouts you choose yourself. The story is good, slow at first but focused on building the team. Biggest disappointment: lack of new hissatsus and the final opponent team (Raimon). Designs are good, but personality is lacking. Many reuse old moves instead of new ones. The Raimon trio was disappointing, and Haru was not the “soccer monster” expected. Chronicle Mode : Chronicle is like Chrono Stone V2. You relive past matches (OG, GO, Ares, Orion) plus new original teams. It follows Victorio Aruno, grandson of Dr. Aruno. His goal is to gather the “Ultimate Keshin Eleven” to fight the Mind Eaters, with help from Wonderbot and older characters like Fei, Zanark, and Kinako. You can build any team you want, which is great. The concept is excellent and perfect for this mode. It’s also the main way to collect all 5400 characters. The problem is difficulty: AI is too easy, and rewards aren’t good enough. Less grind is needed. Gacha : There is some gacha, but it’s not P2W. Some characters (like old scouts) are only available here, which isn’t great. Stats are fairly balanced. Main issue: Hero and Basara rarity. Hero was meant for key characters, with preset builds. Now they’re fully customizable, removing the only downside. Basara is worse: too strong, fully customizable, and breaks online balance. Even limited per team, they ruin matches. Grinding for them is excessive and RNG-heavy. Kizuna Town : You build your own town. Not mandatory, but fun with friends. Needs more activities. Free Mode (Online) : Free matches with all teams. Could improve with pitch, music, and commentary options. Online is the worst mode: unfun, full of tryhard teams. It’s also tied to important rewards, which is bad. Combined with Hero/Basara, it becomes unbearable. BB Stadium : Mode with OG preset teams. Missing the ability to play all teams. Victory Road : Not released yet. Hopefully not fully online and with good endgame content. Conclusion : The game is good but has many poorly designed systems that need rework or removal. It’s far more enjoyable solo or with friends. I hope the game improves. It already started with the Ares update, and I hope Level 5 continues. I love IE, and it deserves better. Still worth playing if you focus on solo. P.S : Beta is the best character ⡜⡞⢼⣓⢮⣳⣞⡳⢏⡳⣎⡳⡜⡳⢎⡳⣎⡳⢮⡝⡶⣱⢂⠰⡀⢆⠰⡘⣾⣿⣿ ⠸⣍⡷⣯⢟⡵⣪⢽⡩⣗⡱⣍⣿⣍⢯⠵⣣⢏⡳⢞⡱⢧⣣⢂⠱⡈⢆⢹⣿⣿⣿ ⠐⢸⡳⢏⡾⡜⡵⣎⢗⢮⠳⣼⣿⣿⣷⣍⠧⣏⠽⣎⡽⢣⣳⢂⠡⡐⠌⣼⣿⣿⣿ ⠈⢼⣙⡳⡬⡝⡞⣸⢎⣏⣽⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣾⣵⣭⣚⡧⣳⢨⠶⣅⠊⢼⣿⣿⣿ ⡈⠔⣫⠵⣃⡽⢂⡽⣨⣾⣿⣿⣿⣯⣭⣭⣶⣿⠿⠛⢉⣾⡆⢏⡿⣽⢺⢥⡛⢿⣿ ⣿⡄⢫⢳⡂⡝⠰⡼⣟⣫⣾⣿⣿⣿⣿⣯⢋⡄⡄⢒⣸⣻⡟⢬⣿⡟⡼⣣⢏⢧⡹ ⣿⣿⡌⢣⠇⡘⢰⣿⠿⠿⠟⠹⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣯⣾⣿⣿⣥⣾⡿⢋⡼⣱⢧⡛⡦⠑ ⣿⣿⣿⣶⣌⣐⠂⠶⣶⣦⢆⣦⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⠿⣿⣿⣿⡿⡰⣏⢾⡱⣎⠷⣹⠀ ⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⢷⣀⠸⡿⢟⣿⣿⣿⣽⣿⣿⠏⣾⣿⣿⢟⣰⡛⣼⠲⡽⣸⠹⢆⠡ ⣿⣿⣿⣿⣟⣾⣿⣿⣷⡴⠟⣻⠿⣿⣿⣯⣷⣿⣿⠿⣽⣞⢰⡽⣐⣫⠼⣅⠋⡄⠃ ⣿⡿⢟⣷⣿⣿⣿⡿⣏⡿⡄⠀⢀⠳⠛⢛⠻⠻⢩⣾⣳⢾⡜⣲⢍⡶⣛⡬⢇⠈⠄ ⣿⡏⣽⣿⣿⣿⠿⡽⢭⡞⣣⠟⣤⣂⠱⡈⢆⡑⡾⣴⢯⣛⢮⣼⡘⣶⠹⣜⣫⠄⡈ ⣿⢃⠜⠪⢟⡙⣯⣷⡝⠈⢧⡛⣶⢩⡆⠑⣤⣞⡽⣚⣯⣹⡟⣶⢙⣖⡻⣬⢳⠠⠀
