Greetings Enforcer, and thank you for enlisting in the Hypnospace Patrol Department! As the corporatocracy sleeps, outlaws are out there committing terrible transgressions all across our beloved Hypnospace, and these virtual streets aren't going to police themselves!
Hypnospace Outlaw is a '90s internet simulator in which you scour Hypnospace's wide variety of weird and wonderful websites to hunt down wrongdoers, while also keeping an eye on your inbox, avoiding viruses and adware, and downloading a plethora of apps that may or may not be useful.
As part of your job as a Hypnospace Enforcer, you'll be watching out for copyright infringement, internet bullying and more, with reports and rewards coming direct from the Hypnospace Patrol Department to your inbox. In your spare time, you can customize your HypnOS desktop however you see fit, with a variety of downloads, wallpapers, screen savers and helper bots to keep you company.

Crawl through Cyberspace: Scour the darkest corners of the Web for scumbag users who violate Hypnospace law!

I wish I could go back in time to the first time I played it. It did not take me long to complete the main story, but it's one of the few games that made genuinely sad to see it over.
If youre looking to have a laugh at some late 90s-early 2000s nostalgia, this game delivers that experience through ridiculous web pages and music. It doesnt take itself too seriously, and you can tell a lot of work went into making the game feel just the right amount of silly. I do think that the gameplay and searching itself though was lacklustre, I did find myself at a bit of a loss at what to do after the first big story beat and the tutorials/instructions aren't very clear. I also found that once the initial awe of nostalgia wore off, I was left pretty overwhelmed and annoyed by the (intentional) old ♥♥♥♥♥♥ web design. Do I really recommend this game? Not really, I think its a fun dip of nostalgia but not much more. I dont want to give it a thumbs down though because it does deliver as promised. A flat neutral from me, pick it up on sale if you want the experience

i just woke up to find this sitting at the top of my steam library. i've never seen this game and definitely didnt buy it but there it is, in my library with 13 minutes already played and a save file with my name which i never use. no idea what's going on both in game and out of it but idk i guess thumbs up cool game
I think about this game often, even after years since i have completed it. Do yourself a favor and give it a try, it's everything you expect it to be and more.
