Hypnospace Outlaw is a '90s internet simulator in which you scour Hypnospace's wide variety of weird and wonderful websites to hunt down wrongdoers, while also keeping an eye on your inbox, avoiding viruses and adware, and downloading a plethora of apps that may or may not be useful.
As part of your job as a Hypnospace Enforcer, you'll be watching out for copyright infringement, internet bullying and more, with reports and rewards coming direct from the Hypnospace Patrol Department to your inbox. In your spare time, you can customize your HypnOS desktop however you see fit, with a variety of downloads, wallpapers, screen savers and helper bots to keep you company.

[h1]Einer der kreativsten Geheimtipps im Adventure- und Simulations-Genre[/h1] Zugegeben, es ist nicht ganz leicht die Faszination an Hypnospace Outlaw zu vermitteln, aber verdammt, das Spiel löst einen einmaligen Reiz aus, der einem nicht mehr so schnell loslässt, sofern es gelingt sich darauf einzulassen. Letztere Anmerkung zielt auf die Leselust des Spielers ab, denn in erster Linie surft man hier durch ein fiktives Internet der Spät 90er einer alternativen Realität und liest Texte. Einen Spaziergang sollte man deswegen jedoch nicht erwarten, denn die späteren Enforcer-Aufträge setzen immer mehr Recherche und Querdenken voraus. Und Passwort-verschlüsselte Seiten knacken sich halt auch nicht von selbst. Aber dank der einmaligen audiovisuellen Atmosphäre voller cooler Soundtracks, knallbunter Webauftritte und der abwechslungsreichen Userbase wird einem nie langweilig. Hypnospace Outlaw ist einer der größten Geheimtipps im Adventure-Genre. Man hat selten so ein kreatives Spiel erlebt! [h1]Pro und Kontra:[/h1] Pro: - geniale Grundidee (Internetsurfen in einer alternativen Realität) - fantastischer, abwechslungsreicher Soundtrack - großer Umfang (20+ Stunden Spielzeit für einen blinden und gründlichen Spieldurchlauf) - es dauert zwar bis sich die Story herauskristallisiert, aber dafür ist sie auch interessant - man kann endlich mal selbst den Ban-Hammer schwingen (zumindest gewissermaßen) Kontra: - erfordert viel Leselust und Recherche-Arbeit - wird gegen Ende hin sehr knifflig, was für Frust sorgen kann - katastrophales Mikromanagement für Downloads - keine deutsche Übersetzung vorhanden, gute Englischkenntnisse sind Pflicht!

El soundtrack está tan tan bien trabajado. Siempre que escucho música del juego y aparecen esas melodías de inicio de sesión mi alma se llena con nostalgia. Ese miedo y a la vez confort que me generaba el prender una computadora cuando tenía 5 años. El confort de que está allí y vive, el miedo de que si no volvía, ese mundo no estaría allí. ¿Las computadoras son el primer acercamiento que tenemos a la muerte, o mejor dicho a una vida dependiente? Una generación al control y a la vez hundida en el duelo de las cosas que aún vivían, que ya murieron y no sabemos cuándo ni cómo.
lots to explore, but definitely has its pros and cons because it can be easy to get lost, too. music is great. visuals are great. crashed a few times (like, apart from the intended ones) but didn't actually lose any data so whatever. maybe the real outlaw was the friends we made along the way. or something.
Fantastic game, there is way too much to explore in just one playthrough. It also has a fantastic soundtrack with some great pixel art and 90's inspired graphics.

With this game I was finally able to fulfill my dream of being a Reddit mod.
I love the puzzle-like approach of storytelling just as much as the oldschool internet graphics that are completely accurate except for loading times being way too fast for something set in 1999 :p absolutely recommend
