Hypnospace Outlaw is a '90s internet simulator in which you scour Hypnospace's wide variety of weird and wonderful websites to hunt down wrongdoers, while also keeping an eye on your inbox, avoiding viruses and adware, and downloading a plethora of apps that may or may not be useful.
As part of your job as a Hypnospace Enforcer, you'll be watching out for copyright infringement, internet bullying and more, with reports and rewards coming direct from the Hypnospace Patrol Department to your inbox. In your spare time, you can customize your HypnOS desktop however you see fit, with a variety of downloads, wallpapers, screen savers and helper bots to keep you company.

A slow burn, but a great mystery dive.
If you have even the slightest interest in old internet then this is a must play. While i do think the detective style gameplay and unraveling the main mystery was fun and interesting the absolute main appeal is having a massive late 90s internet to explore.
It’s the first game I ever bought on Steam, but I only managed to finish it now because back then my English wasn’t good enough for such a text-heavy game. At the time I loved it purely for the aesthetics and the soundtrack (they were so good, the classic retro vibes, and honestly I’ve never found anything quite like them in other playlists) After finally finishing it, though, I just feel sad. So much heart was put into every character, and it’s already satisfying just randomly browsing and seeing how their lives go. And I feel so sorry for Mavis and Rodney, it’s always the goofy stuff that hits the hardest

Hypnospace feels is a really cool game with a lot of funny moments. The game does really capture the "old" vibe, and lets you interact with it in a unique way. I do think that the pacing of the game feels kind of weird where wandering the sites and trying to do cases clash. I lost a lot of steam the longer it went on, but it still made me laugh and smile pretty often.
I didn't expect this game to be such a wild ride, but I absolutely loved it!
game is really awesome i mean yeah it can be quite confusing to really finish it and figure out exactly what to do but just playing for the aesthetic and exploring is good enough, so much thought and love was put into every "website" and the extensive lore, really captures the feel of early internet surfing (as if i know what that feels like).
