About
There was once an ancient line of action figures, who created a magical power source that would allow humans to keep their favourite childhood memories of their toys. This ancient power source is known as the Hypercore. Inside the Hypercore are the beloved memories of our favorite toys. If Major Evil destroys it, these memories will disappear forever. Defend it with everything you've got, or see our cherished toys turn into lost treasures of the past!
If you grew up watching classic toy movies and playing with action figures, get ready for the ultimate action figure game! Hypercharge takes you back to the original drawing board of action shooters, with no pay-to-progress, weapon meta, or slide cancelling. Just simple, light-hearted, casual fun!
1-4 player online/local co-op.
Full split-screen support including online/local.
Single player/offline play with player bots.
Difficulty scales based on the number of players.

Work together as a team to defend the Hypercore. Grab a friend, break out of your toy packaging, and get ready to fight waves of classic toys. Prepare for each wave by searching for weapons, resources, and even hidden secrets.
Not everybody likes to play online. Hypercharge supports Offline, Split-Screen and Local play. You can progress and unlock everything in-game while playing solo.
Grab a second controller and jump in! Hypercharge lets you play the entire game in Split-Screen, with up to four-player co-op and PvP, both Online and Local. Team up and experience it all side-by-side on the couch.
Don’t have a team to play with? Don’t worry, we’ve got you solo players covered. Player bots listen to your commands, collect resources, and even help to build defences.
Earn unlocks the old school way, in-game with hard work! No Pay-to-Win nonsense.
Go head-to-head against other action figures as you fight to become top of the scoreboard! Classic PvP modes include Deathmatch, Team Deathmatch, Capture the Battery, Infection, and King of the Hill.

Such a great game
Idea is great and so are the environments. Gameplay is rough and clunky as ♥♥♥♥ and tbh is hardly worth the $17 I paid for it. Still, I recommend. May not be what I prefer but I appreciate the dev for taking a risk and trying something different. It's not predatory, not a cash grab, not woke, no unnecessary BS, etc. That earns my respect.
Writing a positive review because overall i had a good time with it. However after a while the gameplay gets a little repetitive and tiring. Also, with no update in nearly 3 years, it may be safe to say that they wont be adding new game modes or others such as character abilities, throwables, new maps, etc. all the things that would actually make this game great and get it on the map. The graphics are fun and vibrant. The nostalgia is on point. Tons of easter eggs and the platformer aspect to the game is a lot of fun. Seems to be well optimized and the controls are pretty smooth. It just seems the devs have given up on it

*RECOMMEND UNDER CERTAIN CONDITIONS* I like the concept of the game. Reminds me of the Small Soldiers movie from my childhood. The execution of the game is a little lacking though. Gameplay loop is okay but gets repetitive fast. I think that some kind of class system would be nice. Or maybe abilities specific to characters. As is all of the characters and stuff are purely cosmetic, so there's not much of a reason to play different characters. Weapons are okay but nothing special. Overall its playable and can get you a decent amount of fun play time. But they haven't done any major updates since the cross play update so I can only say its worth it if you find this game on sale.
This game is such a fun time. It's a FPS/TPS with the focus being defending specific targets, being the HYPERCOREs™ from evil toys that come in all shapes and sizes. This has so much charm it's impossible to name every reference this packs into itself. The gunplay is simple, but solid enough to be really really fun. The map variety is actually impressive, especially considering the fact they'd all be basic areas in any other game, but when they're 10000x bigger than you, it makes them all the more fun to explore and fight in. Add on to that Orcs Must Die! style traps and defenses (minus walls and ceilings), it's an incredibly fun time, even more so with friends. A definite must-pickup if you're at all interested in wave based, decently challenging at higher levels games that encourage co-op.
