I like the IP of this game, it marries the world and vibe of HLD with the mechanics and flow of Solar Ash. It really often feels like being in a flow-state; dashing, running up walls, using the glider or the hover board - it's really quite satisfying. I've played on I think three different iterations of the game since early access began and I think with the 'double down', patch they've really gotten onto something good.
Not worth playing until they make the game fun and playable for singleplayer-only gamers too. Development for the game has been suspended indefinately. Assume it's a dead game.

Feels good so far, pretty close to Drifter's vibe. Gotta heal the review stats.
The Update's pretty good. I like the new underground areas and the Maw boss is very interesting. A little to tanky right now but has a lot of promise. The quality of life improvements are a nice step foreword, as well the MUCH needed Tutorial, really helps. One thing I'd like is the ability to access the VR part of the tutorial at the end whenever in the hub so you can practice like the Void in DMC 5. Conclusion: This is a step in the right direction and if updates like this continue I believe the final game will be great.
Going in the right direction ! I loved the last game but was a bit disappointed with this games initial release(it was bare bones) but with recent updates and bit rework of the game i can legit say its way better experience from where it started ! Personally the only other thing i hope comes to this game is different cosmetic for each drifter but in mean time devs Please Keep Up The Goood Work! (cause i would very much like to see the full release of the game ps Love the art )
I want to see a few things change. Area traversal should be more immediate, whether it's zip lines you can glide from or jump pads. more mobs/action and movesets. aerial movesets that have aoe damage. team buffs. better lock-on camera. camera options, distance to character, fov. it's a great looking game, and it plays better than it did a year ago when i first picked it up. i have high hopes for this title as a fan of drifter. but it's not there yet by a long shot for me. the open world doesn't currently appeal to me because the rhythm of gameplay is too slow. it would also be fun if you had to defend areas on the map, maybe add friendly NPC's instead of all of them being locked behind a key.
A disappointing entry in an otherwise great IP. This was certainly a promising concept, and had they decided on a direction and balanced things properly maybe it would have been. The campaign for the beta early-access release also felt huge for what a janky game it was at the beginning, especially. Hope for better things in Hyper lights future.
Dead game
Truly breaks my heart that they had to ruin the HLD name with this one. Im just gonna pretend this game doesnt exist... Played for a few hours when they released early access, played for a few more once it started getting updates. Its bad. Layoffs happening, so the game isnt being developed anymore. Truly sad.
Was skeptical at first, but after the recent update I gave it a shot. Not bad at all! Still needs more content, but I’m in now
