Fun for some parts, boring in most
Muito bom
For those who cannot move their character in the first mission but only look up and down. The way to fix this is to go into the hitmancontracts.ini file, you can get to it by right clicking on the game in your library and click browse local files, find it, open it on notepad and add the line at the end "Window 1" this will make the game launch in borderless windows mode and then limit the games max frame rate in your graphics card control panel to 60 fps this should work for you as it did for me. Just make sure to set the resolution to what your monitor is so the game fits your monitor perfectly.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 24 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,404 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.
Score: ◆◆◆◆◇ (4/5)
Contracts is probably the best of the original trilogy, though I can't help but give it an equal rating to its predecessor, Silent Assassin, since such a large portion of this game is made up of levels from the first game remade. Many of the same improvements introduced in Silent Assassin return here, such as a save system, more logical enemy AI, and much greater flexibility in how you complete missions. You should still expect a degree of trial and error as you experiment and learn the layout of each map, but that is part of the fun of the Hitman series. The save system allows you to experiment without worrying about having to repeat large sections. That improvement alone greatly decreases the frustration found in the first game. New levels like Beldingford Manor and the Meat King's Party are fantastic, and I wish Contracts hadn't relied so heavily on remaking old levels because these are the game's shining moments. The story is also largely uninteresting, as 95% of what you're doing is presented through flashbacks and memories, but Hitman didn't really attempt to tell much of a story until Blood Money anyway. Just like the first two games, Contracts has that early 2000s charm and aesthetic, and the electronic soundtrack plays a large part in that. Since I played the Hitman series in order, it was hard not to feel a little disappointed at having to retread previous missions. That said, it's very easy to recommend skipping Codename 47 and going straight to Silent Assassin, followed by Contracts. There's very little reason to play the first game beyond historical curiosity, and the levels that weren't remade are best left in the past.
