This witty, wacky, turn-based strategy game is now available for Steam. In Highborn, you’re treated to a strategy game that offers an intelligent, tactical experience without the frenetic play of a traditional RTS.

This is Boring, and not funny at all
Highborn is a comedy/fantasy themed turn based strategy game. It compares modestly well to the Grotesque Tactics series, only not as funny. RTS components are simplistic and not really quite as good as other turn based and RTS games available. Graphics settings and art are fine, but the controls can't be customised. For the game controllers I use, this renders the game unplayable as it maps game axis for scrolling to one of the trim controls. Because this game is unplayable for many, I can't recommend it. Developers should ensure their game is tested with all potential controller configurations, or more simply, allow users to customise controls. This is a basic, minimum requirement for all PC games.

I've had this game sitting in my library for about 10 years, and I finally decided to play it. I'm glad I did. It may be old, but it's a lot of fun to play. I ended up buying all 3 chapters because I enjoyed it so much. The scenarios are interesting to play, the characters are unique, and the humor is goofy. The jokes either made me smile or roll my eyes at the corniness. This game definitely does not take itself too seriously, and occasionally makes fun of itself. I found the normal difficulty level to be too easy, so I had to play everything on hard for the right challenge. The graphics may not be the latest and fanciest compared to the latest games out there, but they're certainly good enough. I did encounter a couple annoying bugs. There are a couple scenarios where critical units disappear when I saved the game and reloaded later, making it impossible to finish the level. This was solved by restarting the level, but it was a bummer to have to play it over again. I recommend finishing each level in one sitting, which generally takes no more than a couple hours. At the current price, this game is well worth the money, so there's little to lose in trying it out.
Simple but fun game, enjoyed all three chapters. Turn based combat is easy to pick up and just deep enough that how you use the units matters. Dialog is very funny and makes fun of itself the whole way through. Example, "How did you know I was the villain? Well you are on the box art for the game! Oh I hate when they just give it away like that, where's the suspense."
A fairly fun comedic fantasy turn based strategy game. While it was short at only 8 levels, there are two DLCs that add 8 more each. But I enjoyed playing through the game, it's farily casual but kept me interested. 7.5/10
Helpful Tip: "Let the Wookie win."

Highborn is one of my favorite games ever. When it first came out I played all the time on my ipad. I beat all three chapters and it was great. I had forgotten about it for over 4 years or so and the reason I remembered is that there aren't any good mobile games anymore. When the Ipad first came out there was Highborn, Infinity Blade, Kingdom Rush, and many other great games I played (like their sequels). Sadly Highborn is no longer on the app store and I was sad but I found it on steam for just 2$. Im glad I found this becausue I bought all dlcs and its been great playing it all over. I hope a Highborn 2 or Chapter 4 will come out. Thank you for this great game.
Highborn is a turn-based strategy game in which you move across a map and attack enemies who stand there waiting for you. The dialogue is somewhat amusing. It's nice that you can move through allied units and freely use all your movement plus attack at any time. But the game is slow and boring. Even playing on a small map takes too long and while there are some spells and hero abilities the gameplay is very simplistic. Allied towers having unlimited attacks also seems like a huge design flaw. It's all just a bunch of meh. Honestly, i wouldn't recommend this if it was free - it's just not worth your time.
