Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.

This is the most 7/10 game that ever was. It's surprisingly addictive and enjoyable but it feels so much like it needed an extra year in development. Great story. Bad dialogue. Interesting job system. Awkward battle system (no dodging, locked into really long skill casts). Engaging side quests. Huge dump of side quests that feel like a chore at times. Overall if you like JRPG's, it's an enjoyable experience, but there are a lot of pain points along the way.
If you're on the fence between this and a game like Stardew Valley, buy Stardew. If you already have Stardew, just start a new save instead of buying this. Combat is lame, the farming is boring, the story is boring. Farming is clunky and not remotely satisfying. Combat has no dodge, no block, just exchanging blows and job-switching to use magic or physical attacking. Switching jobs has a significant cool down for some reason, so don't ever expect to handle a battle in a dynamic way. You get to choose between Male, Female, and Nonbinary but don't worry, no matter what you choose your character wears the same outfit: hot pants and go-go boots with a fantasy flair, side ponytail, and wide birthing hips. Customizing you character is nothing more than swapping colors. Your inventory is "full" and won't let you collect any new items, even of the same type that you don't have full stacks of, if every slot in you backpack is full. The majority of this game's dialogue, and by majority I mean 99.99%, is text only. Some party members talk in combat but that's about it. I'm glad I bought this on sale, I'm mad I even paid half price for this bland nonsense. Want a RPG experience? Any other game will do. Same if you're looking for a farming game, the farming in this game is limited and less immersive than the oldest Harvest Moon titles. A $60 price tag for this game is a crime. It's not worth $20.

14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Aug 29: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 24 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,404 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

The game itself is passable, really. I don't really appreciate the amount of unskippable cutscenes and story cliches, but it's not too bad. It's a farming simulator second, RPG first. Where it falls apart is the controls. Maybe it's better with a controller, but playing on keyboard and mouse is an absolutely horrendous experience, with no fixes. There are no single "yes/select" or "no/cancel" buttons. And the game won't allow you to bind keys together, either. Every button for every action is different, and can't be set to be the same. (...and the game isn't very good with indicating to the player what is happening and why. I changed the batteries in my mouse because I thought it was broken-- the bounding boxes and other mechanics are just like that.)
If you were recommended this game because you like farming sims, I would not recommend it unless you're looking for a run of the mill JRPG with farming sim aspects being minimal. If you wanted Rune Factory 4 (2) like me, nah this game isn't balanced like that. They have a they/them option but little to no way to change most things unless its because a specific class dresses a certain way...and it's only while fighting.
When someone I love dearly came down with a sickness that left them bedridden, I began looking for games to play for them that would hopefully cheer her up. She loves her cozy games, and she always let me watch her play them -- it was a great way for us to spend time together. So I buy Harvestella on a whim; it had Square Enix's name on it, so I trusted it. We didn't get to play it together like I intended since we found other ways to pass time, but I went on to play this nonetheless. Boy, am I happy I did! I was expecting a cozy farming game to sink a few hours into like Sun Haven. What Live Wire delivered was an incredibly emotional slow burn of a story with an even more incredible soundtrack that ranges from relaxing and upbeat to hauntingly beautiful, as can be expected from a game published by Square Enix. Additionally, each environment is so unique and just straight up attractive to look at and walk around in. The artists did an incredible job stylistically. I thought that the lack of voice acting would be a turn off, but for me, it actually gave the game some really nostalgic charm. I loved every twist and turn of this journey, going so far as to complete every quest! Every time a story had left me sobbing (and trust me, I sobbed a LOT playing this game), it also gave me a hand back up and ended in a way that left a smile on my face. Each of the main cast is memorable, and having completed the game, I genuinely feel as if I'm saying goodbye to some very close friends. I can't wait to revisit them down the line! My biggest gripe with the game is that character customization leaves MUCH to be desired, but I think the few gripes I have with the game can be attributed to the games low budget or the fact that it was made for the Nintendo Switch. I'm not too well versed in the Switch, so I'm not sure about its capabilities. Still, what this game has to offer greatly outweighs whatever small gripes I have. It is sad that this game didn't get the marketing it needed to succeed, but hopefully with time, the game will become more popular and Square Enix will give Live Wire what they need to make a Harvestella 2! Until then, this is an absolute gem of a game and I will be eagerly keeping my eyes open for more like this. It's hard to explain, but this game has been pretty therapeutic for me. So if you are on the fence about this game, just give it a go like I did! Dive on in, you won't regret it!
No one talks about this game for some reason. So, I feel a review is needed: Gameplay: Fun and engaging. I enjoy the farming sim feeling, but the combat and level up progression for abilities and jobs is still keeps the Final Fantasy feel. Wish more games could balance the cozy sim feeling and combat as well as this one does. Though, I do wish there was MORE to the farming sim part of the game. Story: I love the characters so much. All of them are memorable and pretty deep. More importantly though, the story is a huge roller-coaster ride. If you like a game where the plot keeps going deeper after each new discovery, this is definitely the game for you. You will always be left guessing about what's coming next. Combat: So much fun. I love the different jobs and love that they feel kinda new or revitalized from the previous jobs in prior games. Post game: Final Fantasy games always have an end-game dungeon to go through and this game is no different. It doesn't feel impossible to beat, so if you're worried about 100% the game, I promise being a completionist should be doable. Replayability: The game is heavily story-focused and has no major diverging paths in the storyline, so there isn't much reason to replay the game (Unless you just want to). BUT--there is the random ability to marry/partner with just about every major character in this game, so there is a small section of the game at the end game where you can save, look at all the marriage candidates, and then pick your favorite. Sadly, your spouse doesn't add much in the post-game. They're just kinda there. Sound: SO AMAZING. I love all the soundtracks. Top-notch music. The SFX sounds are good too. Combat sounds and feels good. Graphics: Everything is so pretty in this game. But I will admit that there ARE way nicer looking games these days. Still, if you like fantasy games and enjoy the 2010 anime aesthetic, this is probably not going to bother you at all. Another way to look at it is that you won't have to worry at all about your system running this game. You could run this on just about anything. Overall: I'd recommend this game to anyone that loves the Final Fantasy franchise, or anyone that needs a farming sim with an rpg element. Legitimately, I view this game as my "perfect" game. Wish there were more just like this one--but just with the farming stuff just as in-depth as the combat stuff. That's my only real complaint about this game. Oh, and maybe add some post-game stuff for the people you can marry. Cause they pretty much just stand around and do nothing at end-game. ^_^;
