So far so good! They will be expanding the game which is great.
Это как солёные огурцы молоком запивать.
Just felt like posting because I love these devs for the 1st 2 games and also wanted to address that a vast majority of the negative complaints are just invalid. You absolutely can feel incredibly powerful in this game and I feel like you can have a lot of direction with were your build goes. There is always a lot to do on the map but the objective is not to min-max every encounter but to try to complete the ones you want. The goblin is probably the best character and its fun to use the decoy. Overall i like have an active ability with each class, I do think this helps set it apart from the other games in this genre that mostly just have abilities with no input from the player. There is probably ~10-15 hours worth of gameplay until you get to the last map, more if you feel like unlocking everything. my biggest issue is aiming actually, i wish it was more precise to where my mouse is. Overall solid 8/10 for the genre

连续开了俩宝箱怪,连续俩大失败,这味太对了
Interesting game, I played the original Hands of Fate many years ago and this is different, but feels similar. It's a Diablo-type of a game with some sort of control over the events based on a deck cards that you can partially influence. The game starts quite hard, and needs a bit of practice before understanding the mechanics of the game. I played only the first two adventures, but they hooked me up enough to look for more soon.
Это. Просто. Оху*нно.
Enjoyable game so far. Would love to see an endless mode down the track.
Normally I avoid roguelikes like the plague, so it was a strange twist of fate that saw me playing a roguelike in which you actually fight the plague. Well, hordes of plague-ridden enemies anyway, amongst other undesirables like skeletons and goblins. I shouldn't generalise; one of the playable characters is in fact a very desirable goblin who's rather handy with the exploding chicken. I haven't played any other games in this genre, but I found this one quite easy to get into. Pick your adventure, pick your character, then fight enemies, collect experience, and gain upgrades until the boss appears. Repeat this on several levels to complete the adventure, or fail and start over. Either way, unlock new adventures and useful global benefits. This game is actually like a flipped version of the original Hand of Fate. That was a card adventure interrupted by combat, and this is a combat adventure (and the combat is much better) interrupted by cards. In each level there are encounter cards that require you to make choices and test your skill in quick shuffle and dice rolling games. The shuffle never gets old and success is very achievable if you watch carefully. The dice game results seem more heavily influenced by upgrades than anything else, but are enjoyable. The game is in early access and some of the equipment choices are currently much more powerful than others, but hopefully that will be sorted out soon. A recent patch added manual direction aiming, which significantly improved control of melee characters with mouse and keyboard. I mostly played the two melee characters, and the Rebel in particular is great fun, especially with sword range upgrades! Overall the game is great (despite the genre), and I would definitely recommend it.
I bought Hand of Fate: Hordes on launch day and went in completely blind. After my first 90 minutes, I genuinely did not want to stop playing. The dark fantasy art style, the colour palette, the music, and especially the Dealer’s narration immediately pulled me in. The combat can turn from simple to complete chaos very quickly, but every upgrade makes a difference and you can feel the build changing as the run continues. I usually prefer turn-based games, so the faster pace and keyboard movement were a real challenge for me. I made plenty of wrong moves, died during the tutorial, and later found myself running through a horde with only one HP left — but I was having fun the entire time. Based on my first 90 minutes, the game already feels full of possibilities. Different heroes, cards, goals, and strategies should make every run feel different. It is still Early Access, so I need more time before judging the long-term content and balance, but as a first impression, this was extremely strong. Recommended — and definitely not my last run.
Absolutely enjoying Hand of Fate: Hordes. Yes, it's another bullet heaven, but this takes you on a story. And the narrator is always heckling you. I feel large power gains between runs. It's a great pace. And you can be a goblin that throws chickens. Who wouldn't love a Goblin Chicken throwing character? Oh yeah, did i mention the chickens EXPLODE? :D My favorite character so far.
