I passed up the .hack games back in the early and mid 2000's because honestly i am not really into games like that. A few years back i purchased .Hack//G.U on a good sale because i figured why not. It took a couple years to finally get to it but here it is in 2025. For what it is, i did for the most part enjoy playing through all the volumes. Especially the third and fourth volumes. The game has highly recycled content repeating throughout the first to third volumes. But in all i did enjoy the nostalgic gameplay of PS2 days. Will i go out of my way to ever play another future .Hack game? or games similar to it? No! Would i recommend others that enjoy Japanese style Arpg/Hack n Slash lite? Yes, you will enjoy this one. A classic! one of the best RPG with an amazing story and great plots! Can't wait to replay the .hack original saga.

Great game!

As someone who grew up watching .hack anime in the 2000's, this game clearly made for the fans of the franchise. Its suppose to be a mmorpg and I can see how the devs tried to make it seems like there is "real world" out of the core game play. Even though the combat and dungeons are a bit dated, its a sold game on a discount.
