A welcome improvement on the original Guacamelee! The new Canal and volcano areas are fun to navigate, improve the pacing, and flesh out the lore further. The musical trio boss is my favorite addition, and I like how they directly parallel one of the first sidequests you can start. Of the balance challenges from Gold, I appreciate the purple color-coding of unavoidable attacks, and STCE is more generous with health and stamina upgrades. Hard Mode felt easier compared to Gold edition's, but not trivial, and it may also be a case of my personal improvement between games. I'm excited to start the sequel!

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,402 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Got it for free a while ago, it doesn't have the most attractive cover art but I'm glad I gave it a go. It's a fantastic brawler/platformer with some cool wrestling finishers. The difficulty is perfect for average players and there're frequent checkpoints even in boss fights. Though the hard mode is locked behind game completion so veterans might find it not ideal.
Old but gold. It's not a long game, but it's full of charm. It's definitely worth the investment, whether you play it alone or with friends.
Solid metroidvania across the board. Melee combat, OST, Art design, exploration and the story are all fantastic.
I just finished my first completly blind playthrough and I have a few notes on the game. This game has its highs and lows. The way you unlock abilties and the overall progression of the game is very good. Beutiful story and music, but the combat is lacking. Fighting groups of enemies is very satisfying, but the bosses, not so much. Most bosses took me 1-5 attempts and weren't very memerable. But the last boss, which I won't spoil, took me over 50 attempts. Yes, it is mainly a skill issue but the difficulty curve spiking up at the end was not something I was expecting. I also feel like the game was a little short. Having the objectives shown on the map, really good feature, but it did get rid of a lot of exploration and cut the game short. Overall I give the game a 7.8/10. Its nothing spectatcular, but still a good game about mexican culture.
