About

It is the dawn of World War II, and you take command of a remote military air base.

Engulf yourself in the Second World War and experience its battles from the perspective of your air base crew. It is your responsibility to make sure everybody is physically and mentally prepared to fulfil their duties.

Build up and manage a World War II air base. Your personal home for your planes and your crew members. Complete freedom of how you want to build. You will plan and place every wall.

Enjoy a variety of accurate fighter airplanes. A joy for aviation aficionados who know the difference between a Hurricane and a Spitfire. But consider: bigger airplanes will need bigger infrastructure. So make sure you can house some of WW2's most impressive airplanes.

Experience personal stories of your air base crew members. On your base every person matters and has their own personality. The game takes huge inspiration from the everyday life of airplane bases in remote locations and how it felt to live there, in good and bad times.

The game is built from the ground up to look like a living and breathing comic book, bringing the style of these timeless art pieces to life. From Bergèse to Hergé, the attention to detail and love for planes of the old masters is what we strive for.

Pretty much the WWII RAF airfield management game I've always wanted. About 15 hours in and I'm having a great time trying to keep aircraft flying, crews happy, and the station from descending into the sort of chaos that probably kept RAF adjutants awake at night. It really gives you an appreciation for the ground crews who kept aircraft like the Spitfire and Hurricane operational during the war. There's a few areas that feel a bit light right now, but the game is still in early access and the foundation is excellent. Looking forward to seeing where the developers take it—preferably with only slightly less paperwork than the real RAF.
Currently in Early Access at Update 6, the game is fast fleshing out the meat of what it means to set up and run an airbase at the dawn of the Battle of Britain in the UK. The Hergé "Tintin" comic style aesthetic is an inspired choice, giving the game a unique style that helps balance the bleakness of war, while bringing the airplanes into the abstract world of childhood Airfix kits. The game is certainly playable and enjoyable in EA with its current mechanics, tho a little rough around the edges; theres a ton of planes to unlock, pilots who gain flight skill over time, missions across western europe to risk your favourite pilots on in order to ensure your base keeps receiving more shipments, and the beginnings of needing to deal with issues on base (scrambles from enemy air attacks, fire outbreaks and plane malfunctions). Meanwhile as of U-6 theres missing functions youd want out of a basebuilder (the ability to clone buildings, multiple staff schedules for day shift/night shift) and functions youd want out of WW2 air squadrons (ability to designate wings/squadrons, pilot and groundcrew promotions/ranks, downed pilots returning etc) Overall one of the main things missing right now is the wider news of WW2 going on around you and that directly impacting whats needed from your airfield and your pilots. The foundational loop is there, and its very exciting to see where this title goes.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

For a small studio they are doing a good job, i liek the art style and look forward to other additions as dev continues. really looking forward to see if they add american units and aircraft later but im still happy with how things are progressing. looking forward to the full release when ever that maybe and looking forward to future updates. its a nice chill building and management game. it scratches that itch. keep up the great work!
good game
Ground of Aces is a fun take sitting in the intersection of city-building, crafting, and simulation. Even though it is only in early access, there is certainly enough material for many dozens of hours of leveling up one's airbases, which makes it a worth the price already. Factoring in that the roadmap indicates plenty more to come from the developers makes this game a reasonable investment in your enjoyment even now.
love the game but more advanced AA guns would help a lot with later raids i got pretty far but the later raids destroy my base even with like ten of the AA guns.
A fun variation of the base building /town building game. Along with the typical gathering, building, crafting mechanics, there are frequent air raids that must be defended and tasks that you must send your aircraft out to accomplish and you must choose the correct combination of aircraft types to be successful. Would be great to have more content and variety, but still there was enough to keep me hooked for 60 hours of play. Highly recommended!
great game
Honestly a great game, and with it still being in beta and being updated it seems on track to be an amazing base building game. I honestly would recommend this to all those who love base building and ww2. The only issue is that when you are mid point into the game fps drops a bit, and along with the few bugs, the game is great.
