Dragon Ball Xenoverse is one of those games I would still recommend playing before jumping into the second one. Not because it is perfect, because it is absolutely not. It has its clunky moments, some fights can be annoying, and you can feel the first-game bones in a lot of places. But that is also kind of why I think it matters. Xenoverse 1 sets the foundation. It introduces the whole Time Patrol concept, lets you create your own character, throws you into the Dragon Ball timeline, and gives you that first “wait, I get to be part of this?” feeling. That is the charm of it. Instead of just watching iconic Dragon Ball moments happen, you get dropped into the middle of them like some custom-made chaos gremlin with questionable hair and main-character confidence. You are not just playing as Goku or Vegeta. You are your own fighter, running around history, fixing timeline nonsense, and inserting yourself into battles you have probably watched a hundred times. It can be rough around the edges, but I still think it is worth experiencing. The story feels more special when you start here, and the second game hits better when you actually understand what the first one was trying to do. Xenoverse 1 walked so Xenoverse 2 could sprint around the battlefield screaming. It may not be the smoothest game ever, but it has heart, nostalgia, and a really fun concept. If you care about the Xenoverse games at all, do yourself a favor and start here.

13 on sale2 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 2 “not sold” markets are read from the Steam price pass of Sep 12: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price in those. The 13 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 25 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 10 places towards #1, and the 2,413 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Most of my playtime is on my old PS4. This was THE ultimate Dragon Ball experience back in 2015, and I kind of miss it. It's simply incredible now to see the legacy Xenoverse would leave behind, between Xenoverse 2 and subsequent DB games following its formula. DB Xenoverse also came out after Battle of Gods and into Resurrection F, so it was right at the beginning of DB's newfound popularity that would kickstart Dragon Ball Super. I cannot speak for the online part because I've never had anyone to play both Xenoverse games with, but this game is a very rough sketch of what Xenoverse 2 would become just a year later. It's a flawed, rough gem and it feels good to go back to every once in a while just to see the game that started it all. It didn't age well for sure, but personally I will always treat Toki Toki City as a second home more than Conton City, also because of the music changing depending on the shop you were visiting which was a really neat touch, same as the Time Nest. Maybe I am blinded by nostalgia, but in terms of soundtrack I simply prefer Xenoverse 2015 over Xenoverse 2. Everything else though? Yeah, Xenoverse 2 did it better and that's okay, that's how sequels are supposed to be.

Any DB fans ultimate fantasy. Getting to replay the best parts of the legendary series but as your own created characters. The action is fast paced and controls well. Highly recommend this one.

Dragon Ball Xenoverse is a really fun and unique take on the Dragon Ball series. Instead of just replaying the story, it lets you be part of it, which makes the experience feel fresh and different. The gameplay is solid, with fast-paced combat and a variety of moves and abilities to use. Creating your own character and customizing their skills adds a lot of enjoyment and makes it feel more personal. One of the best parts is the story concept. Changing timelines and fixing events from the Dragon Ball universe is a cool idea that keeps things interesting, even if you already know the original story. There’s also a good amount of content, with missions, side activities, and things to unlock. It gives you a reason to keep playing beyond just the main story. Overall, Dragon Ball Xenoverse is a fun and creative Dragon Ball game that still holds up well. It may not be perfect, but it’s definitely enjoyable for fans of the series. Gameplay: 8.5/10 Very Good | Overall: 8.5/10 Very Good
Much worse combat and ai than the second game, and the second game has this game's story as a dlc + many new cool features. Just buy the second game
