Grimshire

The juxtaposition of a gritty storyline and the usually lighthearted artstyle which you'd expect from farming sims is very refreshing here. Dialogues are well-written and the game feels like it has a decent weight of consequence, pushing the player to succeed for the well-being of the community they've joined. The characters are charming and there are clear stand-outs among the cast, though I will admit that I'm not particularly attached to any of them. That being said, this game is in early-access so there's a LOT of growing potential. Hopes I have for the game in the future is possible cutscenes/events tied to character friendship levels, giving us more of a reason to fight for this little community and create connections to the different folks we meet throughout the storyline.

For an early access game, this game really exceeded my expectations. I simply love it. The premise is amazing, the execution is amazing, and most importantly the difficulty is brutal. I love everything about this game so far and plan to return to it once a few more updates have been completed.

I love this game. Even though it's early access, there's character customization with actual effects in the game! Your choices feel like they matter and the gameplay itself is fun! 10/10 would recommend!
