Whether you're chasing magic, family, or a little peace in the orchard, there's a place for it here.

If Cornucopia brought you a little joy, a Steam review would mean the world to me. It helps other players find the game, it steers where I take future updates, and honestly it lifts my spirits more than you'd think.
Thank you for being part of this journey.
Lots of love, David 💛

Okay farming game. Tldr; Toxic dev, gameplay is meh, features are unpolished. This becomes a negative review however for two major reasons: If this is your first game, Devs need to be open to criticism. The audacity that you must have to think your first creation will be a masterpiece is delusion levels rarely seen. This Dev refuses to take criticism when players have suggested things like "This part of the map feels empty and lifeless" One could say, "Okay I'll get to that soon" or "Right now we have other priorities right now but we will come back to that." or some such. This dev is not like that. He thinks his ideas are gold, all of them and you better be grateful to see them. Disgusting behavior and it shocks me that people will shill for this crap. No self respect. Secondly: Most Devs understand that your game does not exist without its audience; Your market. I have seen screenshots where a dev was trying to get someone kicked off of steam (which wow. What an ego. You think Steam gives a crap about you and your little nothing game? Get over yourself) This is the type of stuff that makes people hate you and cheer when your game fails. This dev does not understand that. I am done with this game and will ensure I deter folks from this title as well as any future works. In short, Stop it. Get some help.

I finished the main quest of Cornucopia, and while the game is incredibly ambitious and has a charming visual style, it suffers from a deep identity crisis that ruins the experience for anyone looking for a true farming simulator. I want to emphasize that I see massive potential in this game. You can truly feel that the developer put a lot of love and passion into creating it. My criticism comes strictly from a place of wanting to see it succeed, because the foundation is there, it just needs the right direction Here are the critical points that serve both as a warning to players and feedback for the developers: - Fast paced progression and lack of end game The biggest balance issue is that I managed to finish the main campaign in the very first week of the second season (Summer). The game ends extremely fast, I accumulated so much money that I now have nothing to spend it on, completely losing the motivation to keep playing or expanding my farm - Shallow Social System Social progression feels like pure bureaucracy, affection increases just by talking to NPCs, which strips any weight from the interactions. Romance feels pointless because there is no real sense of evolution. You feel like a mute bystander in long cutscenes where characters talk to each other, and you just watch to receive an item at the end. - Confusing and contextless narrative The main story boils down to descending to a certain level in the caves to collect stones from NPCs to unlock boss fights. The game explains this so poorly that, more than once, I reached the boss door already carrying all the required stones without even understanding why I had received them in the first place. - The NPK system The game boasts a complex fertilizer system based on soil chemistry, but It is completely useless, you can completely ignore this mechanic, just plant and water, and still get rich easily (which breaks the economy early on). Creating a complex mechanic that isn't necessary for the core gameplay loop is just dead weight on the UI. - Minigames The game feels like it suffers from a gambling addiction disguised as a farming sim. There is an absolute barrage of colorful pop-ups, scratch cards, card packs, and arcade minigames that are mandatory to progress the story. They don't add anything to the experience, so much so that I finished the entire game without even opening my card packs. - Conclusion If you want a game focused on community, an engaging narrative, and a slow, rewarding farming loop, Cornucopia will frustrate you. It trades emotional depth for flashy lights and card minigames, completely draining its own challenge within a few hours. - Feedback The game's pacing is way too fast. The economy and campaign requirements urgently need calibration so players don't finish everything by the first week of Summer with pockets full of useless cash. There is no point in creating dozens of systems if they don't talk to each other. Less is more.
LOVE IT!! Farming isn’t brain-dead — stuff like composting and soil actually matters and feels rewarding. The characters and story are way better than I expected. They feel real, not like empty NPCs, and you slowly get attached without forcing it. You can tell there’s real love put into this game. It honestly deserves way more attention than it gets. Also huge respect to the dev — you can tell they actually care about the community, listen to feedback, and actively fix bugs. That kind of support really makes you appreciate the game even more. VERY Highly recommend. ❤️
TLDR as this will be a long review: Wait for the full release or at the very least a discounted price. This game is huge and very ambitious, but the glitches and bugs are too much to deal with in its current state: from someone who dealt with all the bugs until my game literally did not function anymore. I loved this or the concept of what I hope it will be one day, but this game is far from complete and at times far from playable. I'm torn between recommending it and not because this is so bold and unique, but so broken it takes away the fun. I am typically skeptical of new farming sims in general, definitely ones that market themselves as similar to big names like Stardew Valley. It takes a lot to stand out in this genre and the market is really saturated. Fortunately Cornucopia stands on its own and certainly makes feats to break the mold. ARTSTYLE The art style is incredibly unique, character models and portraits are well made and animated in a very cute way. However, the 2D/3D plane can be jarring when first playing. It became easier to absorb over time, but there are definitely some glitches and disfunction. Tool skills do not interact with the 3D plane very well. When leveled enough the pickaxe will drop bombs, but they rarely land on the rocks to break them. The axe will cast a tornado to break wood, but never seems to catch anything beyond exactly where you cast the skill. Sometimes objects will get stuck along the walls of the screen and do not collect easily in the inventory. The concept is very inspired, but in it's current state it seems more like a hinderance. PROGRESSION The main story involves exploring the multiple mines throughout the map. This is very fun and involved interaction with the villagers that makes the world feel very integrated and that developing relationships with the townsfolk has a purpose. I was able to complete this entire quest within the first season of the game, which to be fair did take about 18 hours. I feel further gameplay would feel somewhat stunted once this main quest is completed. There are a TON of mini quests, fetch quests, character cutscenes, minigames, and even a very unique and fun scratch off mechanic that provides more inspiration on how to continue, but the main point of the game can be completed very early on. Things like skill leveling feels somewhat unbalanced as well. I was able to get to level 10 in mining and combat by rushing the mines that first season. In general collecting mining and combat exp is a lot easier than progressing the tilling or watering skill which take up much more energy and you have a lot less opportunity to build. Fishing as well, I would spend whole days fishing and was only level 7 by the end of the season despite constantly collecting new fish. There is a LOT here in terms of completion. If we are comparing this to Stardew, in that game I am always adding more mods that add things to the shipping/fishing/cooking catalogue so I can challenge myself and increase the games longevity. So I was ecstatic when I saw the total length of what is called the "completionist" tab of the journal. Dozens of fish, items, and recipes to complete, I was genuinely giddy and this was a main motivator for me to continue. However, there is no notification or indicator when you harvest a new crop or get a new fish, so you have to constantly check this tab to see what you're missing. MAP/EXPLORATION I saw complaints about wide empty areas of the map, but I did not find this to be a total issue, even in the blanker spaces there was plenty to forage and even some monsters to fight. Travelling can be a pain, but there are waypoints for fast travel that make it a lot easier. I understand the complaint and feel it is valid, but I wouldn't say it impeded my experience, and it is far from my greatest concern with this game. A larger issue is the map itself, the one you interact within your inventory. NPC locations can be very confusing and they do not always line up with where the character actually is. Most characters tend to float around their typical areas like the home and work which are accessible along the players typical daily route, but some are way out of the way and tend to be neglected unless its a festival day where everyone is conglomerated together. I didn't meet most NPCs till the first festival because I never ran into them, and they do not show up on the map unless you have met. BUGS/GLITCHES This was unfortunately the deal breaker for me. Nearly 20 hours into this game and I managed to break it to the point of unplayability. *IMPORTANT*: The game is still in early access and who I believe is the ONLY dev working on this massive game is very responsive in the Discord and seems to be working tirelessly to understand game issues and work on them for future updates. There is so much to this game, there are bound to be issues and the community works very hard to provide bugs when they arise and ideas for future updates. It is a small but very lovely community. That being said, there are points where the game just breaks. Cutscenes get delayed or freeze entirely when an NPC does not enter the right way and gets caught on something in the 3D plane, causing you to have to restart from your last save. Pray you saved mid-day or else you'll have to restart from when you woke in the morning. Multiple times I would be nearing the end of the day and a broken cutscene would cause me to restart. What unfortunately ended my run was when the water in my current save file, with 19+ hours invested, the water just stopped working. Water is obviously imperative for fishing, but also filling the watering can. Now I could not fish or farm properly, the major game mechanics of a farming sim. I reset my day, restarted my game, and nothing worked. That save file was just broken. This was on the second day of my first summer. CONCLUSION I do not know if I will continue playing until a major patch or even the full release. I can't tell you how much I love this game despite all of it's issues. I am always looking for something to fill the void of Stardew once I finish another heavily modded playthrough and need a break into something new. This game seemed to fill that hole. It is so so ambition and crafted with so much love and intention and time. Like I said, I love how much there is to complete, even if the main story is short. I wanted to catch every fish, befriend every villager, upgrade every building, max out every skill. My nearly 20 hour save breaking really demotivated me. The idea that after all this progress I have to start over just when I was ready to dive into the completionist aspect ruined it for me. I want to recommend this game to any farming sim lover, but I can't in good faith recommended it in its current state. Like I said, the Discord community is lovely but small, the dev is very active and helpful. There is little information or community about this game online and I think that's unfortunate. I hope when the full release drops, whenever that will be, it will get the attention it deserves. Until then, keep it on the wishlist, and keep a close eye on this one.
This one wasn't for me. The 2.5D seems interesting on paper, but it made for awkward navigation. Nothing drew me in. Maybe I didn't get far enough as I lost interest, but I'm not sure about the comments about the map being huge and overwhelming. It's small and most areas are just empty. Not of fan either of romance options being near age 19 or 20. The soil types for different crops doesn't really mean much when you just till soil and one hit to the left is clay, one hit to the right is stone, hit the ground north and it's farm soil, etc.
This is more of a mixed review than a straight-up positive one, but I’m still leaving it as positive because the devs are clearly putting in the effort to improve the game, and I’m rooting for them. The game feels like a huge playground. There’s a lot to do, but nothing really stands out. - The map is very large, maybe even too large, but often feels empty. - The main story starts off somewhat interesting, but gets more boring the further you go. - The dialogue doesn’t always make sense and can be pretty awkward or cringey at times. - The combat system is honestly very boring. - The farming mechanics are one of the best parts. I really like how you have to pick the right soil for each plant and manage soil nutrients. - Most of the minigames are fun at first, but they get old really fast. - The card system is just okay. It works, but I don’t really see the point of having it in the game. Overall, I’d give this game a 6/10, especially when compared to Stardew Valley and my other favorite, Fields of Mistria. There’s definitely potential here, but the game still has a long way to go.
I have never written a review, but seeing how little reviews this game has made me want to write one. I'm not super deep into the game, but I can straight away say that this is THE hidden gem of farming sims. This game has SO much to do, and I'm so excited to explore all of it! Kudos to the creator, you can just feel how much hours has been put into this game. Huge recommendation.
I've been playing this game since it was released. When I first tried it, I struggled with the camera angles, which made it hard to manage my farm, so I quit. But now that I'm back, I see the problem has been fixed. I'm so happy! This is honestly one of the best farming games—it's so easy-going and relaxing.
Can’t wait for the complete game!
Genuinely really like this game. It feels different than most other farming games in its originality, from the rendering style to the movement. Pros : - Tons of fun minigames - Interesting visuals - Fertilizers LMAO - Complex enough to put time into. Cons : - Character advancement in relationships can go up extremely fast if you completely their quest from the board. There was a character I talked to only once or twice, but the moment after I completed his quest, he spoke to me like we've been romancing for a while now lmao.
