I liked the first game so I thought I give it a try despite the 60% review score. The first thing that caught my attention was how badly this was ported from console to PC (Mouse and Keyboard). You move you Char in a 3rd persion view. WASD for movement like normal. But to turn the view, and also change the way where you move you have to keep the right mouse button pressed. If not pressed, your cursor is flying on the screen to select things to interact, even though you can also do so by using "e"... So after the first few steps I kept the right mousbutton pressed constantly. But the sensetivity was far too low, so settings, view senestivity: Ah, yes. A slider to change the sensetivity from 0 to 100. As we all know, sliders are used if you want to be able to change a setting very detailed. And that is precicely the reason why you can only change the mouse sensetivity in increments of 10... Tried with dragging the slider and even with clicking on it and then use the "left/right" key on the keyboard to change in increments of 1... But nooooo, that is too much to ask apparently. Only steps of 10 please. So I cranked it up to 100 and it still was too slow... So I continue to run around while constantly pressing my mouse button to adjust the view. Then I got stuck in front of a 2cm step, because you can not overcome such an incredible obstacle. Jumping is also not possible of course. So all in all this game has worse movement than Witcher 1. Yes, 1, not 3... And then they start to talk and you realise that, because you play as a native on a new continent, they decided to invent a language that they talk witch each other (at least I think it is a invented language, because it sounds like nothing I have heard before. If it is not, please excuse my ignorance). What sounds like a good idea is actually awful, because the voice actors did not know how to pronounce words. So everybody pronounces the words differently. Which means I go through a small native village, and everybody sounds comletely different to his neighbour. And the worst is the MC (I chose male voice, so maybe female is better). So i only chose the nesessary dialog options (which is INSANE for me, because normally I use EVERY line possible to be sure not to miss any quests/hints) and went to the combat tutorial which wants to be tactical and deep but when I looked in the skilltree for the mage class you get: heal, area heal, direct damage, root, area damage and thats it. No elements, nothing. Just 5 "spells" for a maxed out skilltree. So the tutorial fight plays out like a 20 year old MMO: left click on enemy to auto attack and then sometimes press a button for a skill. My ranged companion got rushed by a 2h melee enemy, but he just continued to fire arrows from point blank and kill the enemy easily... After that I returned the game... In total: skip this. I fear the franchise will be dead after this game...

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

An enjoyable game - I more than recouped the purchase cost in enjoyment.
Just like the first game, I really enjoyed this one. It did take a little to get used to the combat, which I didn't like as much at first, and even when I got used to it and started liking it somewhat, I think the combat was the weakest link of the game. I didn't encounter any major bugs, a few small ones that weren't game breaking at all. Story was great, gameplay was not bad. It is unfortunate what happened to Spiders, but what they did with this game with the resources and time they had, was awesome. The characters and world, creatures were interesting, though here, just like the first game, I was expecting a little more from the ending. Overall, game's really nice, not perfect, not polished (understandably), but still really nice.
Beautiful game. The story caught me and kept me interested from start to end. Nice exploration, nice side quests. It kept the old "GreedFall 1" vibes. Nice landscapes, nice clothing choices. I loved the crafting, and I appreciated the different levels of combat mode. There are some bugs here and there, but if you know that happened to Spiders, you can understand the situation and appreciate this game for what they could do before the end of the Studio.
I had a really good time with this game. It acts as a prequel to the first Greedfall and gives a ton of insight into the main continent that has never really been touched upon in depth before, which is pretty interesting. I didnt get into the real details here but i think the devs got pushed into the release like crazy and entirely fired shortly after that so this game is kinda barebones in a lot of aspects. It still amazes me how much content is in there and how good some things have been done under the given circumstances. I think it doesnt deserve the super bad rating that we got on Steam but i can see where its coming from. There are heavy rendering issues on many graphical settings, textures dont load in, characters and weapons in your hand too. Got a few bugs here and there and the entire economy and character progression is although decent enough pretty much nonsensical in the long run. 50% into the game you pretty much maxed all your chars if you explore a lot and ressources and money never runs out again from this point on. The world with multiple vast landscapes is crazy, they finished a lot of beautiful locations and a magical scenery that really immersed me. I found it really cool to see a free camera photo mode built into the game. The plot is good, not as good as the first game but i enjoyed it especially from a natives perspective which is something new. I love their vibe and their vocabulary and they never really bored me. Cutscenes and big boss battles are a strength too, the guardian bosses are again very creative and thrilling to fight although the balancing is quite bad and most encounters in the game in general are just braindead easy. The music is really nice as well. The prequel is once again a game for players that want to take their time, that have a good amount of patience and like to listen to long and somewhat diplomatic dialogues which are well written and well voiced. Theres a new combat system with a more tactical approach and even tho you gotta get used to it its not bad after all. Of course i had a few problems with it but i prefered some things about it over Greedfall 1. The content is rich and all in all good and it took me over 60 hours for a playthrough and i did idk about 80% of things or so, but rushed and dodged fights towards the end because level ups became absolutely pointless. Should you get into it? If you loved Greedfall 1 and the entire gameplay construct behind it, yes absolutely youre gonna enjoy this title as well. For anyone being mixed about the first game, this is a little step down so youre not gonna like it either. I also dont recommend the full price but a solid sale instead, around 30 Euro are alright because as ive said it was heavily rushed and its partially archaic but in the long run theres pretty much everything you need to have a decent playthrough.
I did not really believe i would enjoy it so much. Playing a Teer Fradeen did not sound too appealing. But we can shape our character. My Lady Vriden Gerr would probably not turn back home after everything she had been through and build a new life with Ludwig somewhere. Visiting the mother now and then. Did not really help that Nílan is an ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ which changes later, kinda?, but first impression did not do too well. And everyone calling us "Rootless", gives the impression devs did push in a “not going home direction”. I mostly traveled with Ludwig, Fausta and Nílan. Which could mean a new fresh experience when i take the other ones with me in another playthrough. --- Positive: 🍃🍃🍃 🍃 Interesting various places to visit with different factions trying to pull us to their side 🍃 Following different factions has an impact on the story 🍃 Gorgeous graphics with a touch of stylistic art direction, love to see it. 🍃 OST made a great jump in quality from the first game. 🍃 Great execution of world building, carrying from the first game into the second. 🍃 Relaxing game even when the story is rather tragic and depressing 🍃 I personally liked the new combat. Put my companions on automatic and just watch them fight. But... In general interacting with the skill bar was not fun. I despised switching to the second bar. So i mostly just used the skills from the first bar. The window is wide enough to fit all damn skills in one bar, am i not right?? It maybe would change on a higher difficulty, forcing myself to plan better. 🍃 Interesting different skill trees could motivate to play it a couple of times more 🍃 Which companions you take with you, can shape the approach to quests solving, and more insight. Is just a little hard to decide which companion would bring something more in what quest. 🍃 Generous fast travel spots, thank you devs! Negative: 🍂🍂🍂 🍂 Another game series where the devs lost their balls and made all the romance options bi. It's really a losing battle on that front in so many games. :( 🍂 Solving quests with other means is almost impossible, like disguise... i cannot remember it being so difficult in Greedfall 1? 🍂 Talents: I had: 1 Craft 1 Surivial 4 Diplomacy 4 Stealth 0 Alchemy 3 Mechanism When you even try to go a little into Alchemy or Crafting for example, you ♥♥♥♥ up all other paths to experience the game? Not sure what i miss here. Sure, you can push the points further with companions and cloaks, but they usually go up more in the late game, where you... have experienced all of the game already. 🍂 The mysterious Makeshift Tools... i really cannot remember to have found any, so i was never able to repair anything?? and solve quests that way. 🍂 Till has no companion quest, which is TRAVESTY. He probably had the most promising story behind him. And then just quietly and awkwardly stands on the ship the whole game long. At least he interacts when we take him with us. So next time i replay it, i will take him more often with me. 🍂 Vriden Gerr: I really dislike the “Rootless” term and Nílan bringing it up whenever he can. When you want to roleplay a faithful Teer Fradeen it’s just like a kick in the face. We grew up with him in the village. We became doneigad beside him. Have some friggin respect for us? Is that too much to ask??? Learning another language means the world goes under for them... it seems. 🍂 Not sure i can really make this into a negative... but i had so much material and money at the end, no idea what to do with it. I have to say i was rather lazy making potions or traps. The reason for it maybe was the style of the icons in the inventory, all looking quite the same IN A GRID, having to hover over them to learn what they do, i did not bother to learn them. Having the icon text beside the icon in a list like in the first game, would have helped me to recognize them better. I remember no such problems from the first game. 🍂 Skilltree in the first game was better, having to scroll so long to the right to skill my Rifles tree did suck the soul out of my body. 🍂 There were not really many rifles to find? I had the feeling just finding one and using it for like half the game 🍂 The companions being 4 female and 3 male feels a little off, especially when Till has no personal quest. And i really remember nothing of Safia. --- It looks like the negative outweigh for me, but all in all i enjoyed my time. And those games are more about experiencing the world and companions to me anyway. Which they did a great job with. Not sure how likely a next game will be. But a woman can dream. May the earth carry you well, friends~🍂 Now excuse me i will go into my crying corner for Till --- Edit: When you want to romance someone look up guides and pick the right options... which i did not and so i did not get a kiss from Ludwig.... FML 🙁 --- Edit2: Okay... the ending...
“She returned to Teer Fradee to join her people while continuing to exchange with her former companions.”
Yeah... my character did not do that. Nice how the game does not take into consideration what i talked about with my companions. F#ck this. And Till turning
alcoholic
... really???
