Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0.14/day in the week to Sep 3 → 1/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 24 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,404 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.
About

Choose your side in the American Civil War: Real-time campaign, spanning from Secession to the end of the war, with historical objectives for both sides.
Five campaign scenarios (Pre-War, 1861, 1862, 1863, 1864) and twenty (20) stand-alone battles from 1st Manassas in 1861 to Appomattox Court House in 1865.
Change history: What if European superpowers intervened to end the war, or Lincoln lost the presidential election of 1864?
Scott’s Great Snake: Lay siege, raid and blockade your enemy on land and sea or use blockade runners to keep the life-lines to Europe open.
From Fort Sumter to Appomattox: Watch closely the morale of your citizens and troops. As the war drags on, fervor turns to fatigue, the treasury threatens to run dry, and measures like drafting will cause unrest.
Keep the armies marching: Build and manage the flow of supplies to your armies. Utilize and expand railroad lines to supply and move armies for the first time in history!
Pivotal battles: Fight battles lasting multiple days on historical battlefields. Use engineers to build pontoons and dig trenches, see reinforcements change the tide and commit your reserves to defeat the enemy.

Command Great Armies: Huge armies of infantry, cavalry and artillery, with realistic command structures and historical Order of Battle.
Bring the Civil War to life: Amazing Civil War re-enactment and combat footage from LionHeart FilmWorks, and an original soundtrack of old time music and drum and fife band.Updates

This game has potential but after 4 years the Devs aren't going to fix this mess. It's the end of March 62 and I started in June 61. After making my initial regiments haven't gotten any new recruits. I have Recruit Agency subsidies long ago. The enemy will chase you and you can't escape and if you try to chase him for get it. Right now the CSA has over 20,000 more troops that n I have., I have almost split the CSA into thirds. I beat one regiment and just after that he was much stronger then he was when i slaughtered him. I beat one regiment and then went after him without an actual battle he automatically routed me. The 4 guns he lost and 700 men are replaced and much stronger. I have been winning and winning big but he ins't stronger and better Army morale and more and more troops then before. Sadly most big complex games like this are put on the market before they are finished and the Devs don't care to fix things, Google reveal the issue with lack of Recruits and equip that many have complained about. It's just another broken game that I wasted money on. I want to like it but it has to cheat to be competitive, Lots of flaws and such a difficult game to learn. it now April the 5th and still no new Recruits of course the enemy has some powerful divisions or corps, I cant stand up to anymore. I have Recruit Agency, Been through 4 Military Acts. 2 Military Regulars acts and still no recruits have filled my ranks. Pathetic

Civil War is a game for Civil War buffs who enjoy a full view of the war and enjoy a bit of micro management. The recent whiskey and lemons update left more than a little to be desired and soured my experience overall with this one. the main campaign is still the best overall civil war strategy experience that I have played. AI is rough, bugs pop up somewhat frequently, yet I continuously get drawn back to this one.
I recommend that people wait for the developers to actually fix these issues first before they buy this game and its DLC: 1. Path-finding is retarded 2. Area of operations on the battlefield kept changing every 30 seconds until I get to the front lines and actually engage the enemy 3. Army corps AI is retarded, striking into the middle of North Carolina without establishing a supply line AND without capturing any town between Charlotte and Washington DC is obviously going to do wonders for morale /heavy-sarcasm 4. Stupidly long periods without any actual fighting: #3 happened a whole year after the Civil War started and the Army of the Potomac did ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ when it was sitting in front of DC before it suddenly decided to haul ass to Ohio and then charge into Charlotte. This is on aggressive AI and hard settings
It is possible to overthink a game. This game sucks. Through and through. I know what they are going for. I desperately yearn for what they are going for. But this isn't it. The best way I can describe it is this: I enjoy learning about medieval history, and I also enjoyed the first season or two of Game of Thrones (TV show). So I started reading the 1st book. 1/4 of the way through the book, I couldn't figure out why this guy wouldn't shut the ♥♥♥♥ up about "boiled leather." Every few pages, just pointing out, way in the background, boiled leather. Yeah man, I ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ assumed that. Anyway, if you liked the boiled leather parts of Game of Thrones, I guess maybe you will like this. It is also laggy as hell, and I have a decent rig. It'd be 1 thing if it sucked. But to make me wait 2 minutes to load the next thing that sucks? ♥♥♥♥ you.
No, no, f*** no... nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo! I don't remember when last time I bought a game in a such bad state and with that garbage UX. I tried, I really tried, but after another stupid thing, like have to figure it out how to move all divisions in my army at once on campaign map (not clikcing EVERY F*** DIVISION SEPARETLY), I can't stand it anymore.
I really, really want to love this game, and so much of it is so good, but I can't recommend it. You can tell the developers have put so much work and dare I say love into this game and all of the periphery features are great, totally immersive. However it has had a huge problem since inception and as I've checked back in now, as I do sporadically every few weeks or months... that huge problem still exists. Quite simply put the AI is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, both on the campaign map and in battle. I can't even begin to explain the random and illogical ways the campaigns and battles unfold... and so I'm not going to go into explanations... anyone that's played knows what I mean. Having said that, I will keep checking back in to see if it improves, there's no doubt it's an amazing idea, it's clearly had work put into it... but with a flawed AI system it's never going to be anything better than a frustrating let down. Fingers crossed they nail it.
I would love to give a positive review of this game, but with the latest Fiasco of a DLC called "Whiskey & Lemons" (which should have just been called "Lemons") I cannot. Keep checking the discussions, do not spend your money on this just yet. It's not worth it. Definitely stay away from that lemon of a DLC until it's been squared away. Revised 09/10/2023 After many more hours of playing I can attest to the fact that there are still tons of game breaking bugs. Stay away from this dumpster fire. You'll get burned.
This is a fun Civil War game that allows the player to make national political, strategic military, and battlefield tactical decisions. It all so has the Whiskey and Lemons DLC that lets the player role play a career as an officer progressing from command of a single regiment to the command of an entire army. The AI is a little quirky, but what AI isn't.
tried to fight my first battle in the game's own tutorial as the Union. Robert E Lee pops up and tells me ♥♥♥♥ about Ewell and to select Jackson and a dozen other things I can't do. Tells me to wait til 1900, I started this NON confederate battle at 0600 so its 20x while I walk across an empty map because the wait obj script refuses to let my enemy spawn. Finally get to the next day after ages of waiting and set my army up to repulse an attack, 25000 rebs walk in behind me while Robert E Lee tells me that "Thank god Ewells here" 10/10, dont bother in the slightest aom mod makes it slightly better but this game in general is just a massive bother to play
