About
You are a Living Spark surviving inside fragile wooden vessels that splinter, collapse, and catch fire. When your vessel breaks, the Spark escapes. Death is just a change of scenery.
Ride a cursed elevator into shifting underground ruins with your crew. Smash furniture for resources or feed them into the Grinder for gold. If everyone breaks, your loot is lost.
Trolling can become your friend’s demise. Dropkick enemies or “accidentally” launch your ally’s Spark out of their vessel. Block them in a monster-infested corridor or get stuck in the crossfire. Will your group handle the chaos you created yourselves?
The deeper you go, the worse the Rot becomes. Bodies warp. Voices distort. Emotes become…worse. Or possibly better?
The Deep Layers are filled with Corrupted vessels, reacting to sound, movement, and each other in ways that are impossible to predict. Fight. Build. Run. Panic.
When your vessel breaks, you stay in the run as a Spark. Guide your team through the dark and search for another host with a new set of abilities. Force your way back in before you fade out completely.
Everything you haul back rebuilds your Outpost. Unlock interactive furniture, stat upgrades, rescued survivors, and stranger ways to survive the next descent. The stronger the outpost becomes, the deeper you can afford to go.
Go deeper. Extract more. Leave someone behind. Make it back and build together.
Or don’t come back at all.

Grain Rot or: How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love Instant Death I stepped into Grain Rot with the pure, untainted hope of a man who still believes video games can bring joy. Thirty-seven seconds later I was a floating spark of pure regret, watching my wooden body get turned into premium kindling by something that apparently lives in the elevator shaft and hates optimism. The tutorial is basically: Get in elevator. Get out of elevator. Immediately die. Repeat until your soul leaves your body and files a formal complaint with the Better Business Bureau. I have never felt more personally attacked by a loading screen. The second the doors open, the entire underground population of Corrupted seems to have been waiting specifically for me. They don’t even pretend to be surprised. It’s like the game has a little internal calendar that says “Today is the day we ruin this particular Scrappy’s weekend.” My friends kept yelling helpful tips like “Just grab some furniture!” while I was busy being disassembled by a creature that looked like it was designed by someone who hates wood, life, and basic fairness. I tried to pick up a chair. The chair caught fire. I caught fire. The elevator watched and said nothing. Even the elevator is a passive-aggressive bystander. I’ve seen more progressive difficulty curves in a toaster. The early game difficulty is set to “you will not pass go, you will not collect 200 gold, you will simply explode.” It’s not challenging. It’s not hard. It’s just the game’s way of saying “We made a cool extraction loop… for people who survive longer than the average attention span of a goldfish on fire.” I didn’t even make it far enough to get mad at the building systems or the co-op griefing. I was still stuck in the lobby of death, repeatedly exiting the elevator like a man who refuses to learn that the universe hates him specifically. Final score: 1 out of 10 wooden vessels. Would not recommend unless you enjoy the unique sensation of being owned so thoroughly that your Living Spark develops trust issues and starts therapy. The rot isn’t in the grain. The rot is in my will to keep playing.
Honestly a lot of fun with friends, most people compare it to R.E.P.O. which i can see the comparison. but same time there's no major punishment system. and if you like to customize things (people that like to decorate houses) it does have that lovely feature which allows stat increases. Most the complaints I read all seem like people who took a 5 min run around n decided to complain. I like the voice acting and involved story. The music on some of them is interesting to, Honestly I still favor the goat body over weapons even though those have been also fun. Another thing to keep in mind is this game is still in development, so legit try for yourself if your interested and keep that in mind.
it is EA game disguised as full release - content for ~5hrs
No map, full screen only, the other option do not work. Monsters overpowered very unbalanced, Needs some bug fixes and better tutorial. Beautiful graphics great art design and effects.
Frustrating, yet I keep coming back... Just like your mom
dont play alone
Нус, пока что контента не столь много, но на 2 вечера вполне хватает, если заходить пачкой-то даже весело. Будем надеяться, что разработчики не забросят игру и продолжат делать ее и обновлять крупными обновлениями
GOOD but hope it gets developed further
