10/10
When I first tried it, I got stuck at the first guard in the game, not really understanding what to do. I put the game aside for a long time. Then, one day, pick it up again and did not put it down until the end. The game is utilizing stealth for the most part which means do not expect to be able to take out enemies at all. You can "stunt" them but that is about it. The game also does not give you much clue on what you are supposed to do so you will find yourself running in circle for a while. Also, the maps do not have indicators showing you where or how to get to some areas. Some of the quests are a lot of back and forward and, without teleportation, requires a lot of walking around. Overall it is a really good game but, if you are the impatient type or action oriented, that would not be a game for you

Good game, but poor workshop. It's weird that bugs/issues, like mentioned below, are still existing. You've distracted the guard and gate still closes before your nose? The same gate - "gate will be opened after X is done". I've done X. "Gate will be opened after X is done". The heck? Not to mention that you can encounter above issues without triggering gate closing down. Sprint regeneration is a joke - what's causing very long journeys between locations (I think that suit buffs regarding sprint are insignificant and that's why). Similar situation to the one above - when you are behind a guard and you crouch, you're decreasing the level of detection faster. After every restart of the game, FPS limit is going back to 30. Changing your outfit is broken. Doesn't have consistency with "yes" or "no" answers. Sometimes "yes" is on top, sometimes on the bottom. [QOL] It would be wonderful if I would know which sentences end the conversation and which don't. Sleep regenerates half of damaged health. Always. Spyglass night-talk activates after she sleeps first night, even if dialogue indicated otherwise. Lagging autosave after end of every conversation is... a little bit irritating. Many textures are missing or glitching. Questline (e.g. dialogues available before the situation happens) around late-kitchen situation is messy, so my feelings were like "is this thing bugged so should I reload or should I play an hour more to find out and maybe lose another hour because of restart" (it happened though, I thought I bugged / soft-locked myself). And finally (what almost made me do this review negative), AI is very bad at keeping me alive - it's just not consistent. Sometimes they cover you, sometimes they do what they want.
cute, beautiful, funny and tragic...I love it
This game has a crazy amount of charm, with a pretty grim story at times. It's not graphic, visually, but murder and violent death are described. Story: This ebbs and flows with a lot of depth and mystery. I was actually pretty interested in following this, especially as you learn more and more about certain characters and their backstories, including your own. Quite a lot of stand out things that interested me. Also, the lore and worldbuilding is wild. I *really* appreciate the feature that lets you check in on certain terminology, locations, or people to get the backstory without having the character give a direct explanation every single time. This is very ambitious to the world, but things like Duinlan, the Clarion Call, the lays that tell stories of events, and Magpies, for some examples, are all neat. Beware, there's some very sad lore in here. Also, I really, really loved Gusto and Fatale. lmao Probably my favorite characters. Gameplay: I'd say stealth is a bigger deal in the first half of the game. It's not that you stop using it, but you have more control over how and when you use it. Eventually, you can circumvent it, albeit, this is often at a fairly slower pace. You can increase that pace with some side quest rewards, but it'll never be as fast as just trying to bolt and hide, but that's not always convenient, so you can pick and choose when and whether or not to do this. Given that it's a stealth (and exploration/navigation, imo) game, combat really isn't there. There's a few enemies you can take out at one point, but that's sort of it. I don't really have any feelings about this, since the game is stealth-focused. On the treatise of stealth, you sometimes need to use light to reveal things, and you can throw objects to hit a few things from afar to trigger traps safely, or activate switches (which the latter is only mandatory 2-3 times, I think). You can carry a limited number of items, which you'll want to upgrade early out of convenience, imo. You can also change your attire to affect your stats. I think the stealth-related stats are helpful, but the stamina ones didn't feel super impacting. Stamina regen for sprinting is very slow unless you stand still, or engage another function like climbing a ladder. The maps are hit or miss for me. Some of them don't feel so great for navigation, and others are fine. You can get some guidance help from a NPC, but it does sort of end at a point, and it doesn't give indication that you actually need to progress the main story to unlock other things, or finish more of the side quests, so keep that in mind if you care. The world is very Souls-like with how interconnected you can make a lot of it, but you will absolutely be backtracking, searching, and wandering some fairly large areas at times, especially later on if you're trying to finish up. Some of the fetch quests can be tediously annoying (namely the mushroom quests for me, ugh). Also, I missed a burnable banner or something, and have no idea where, so I missed that achievement. Music is pretty great. You get ambiance a lot of the time, but the more bombastic tracks, as well as the lays, are enjoyable. I especially like that Tilo is a minstrel, and it blends his music and history with the story and interactions as much as it can. The game, and Tilo himself, really make sure you know that he is not a warrior type. The environments are richly detailed (sans the Harbour, and some rooms around the keep, imo). The game looks pretty nice most of the time, without ever dipping into uncanny valley. I like the character designs, and even the lighting can be great with the day and night. I did encounter some bugs, mostly on the visuals. There's parts where you can kinda finesse a little bit out of bounds to get around. It's not game breaking, but you can find convenient places where it's not quite intended. A bigger issue I ran into was with lighting and cinematic effects. I once had the light rays glitch out and pierce everything, and forced a game restart because I couldn't see very well. On another, the letterbox became permanent because I loaded in and triggered an action too quickly, and it locked it. This was fixed by just hopping into a hiding place real quick. Nothing else was of any particular note for this. I'm really looking forward to the sequel.
