Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 1/day in the week to Aug 14 → 2.71/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 24 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,419 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

The story has been intriguing and the game-play is very enjoyable. Optional mission objectives or restrictions give it that extra difficulty for those that are looking for a challenge. Equipment is versatile and customizable.

14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Aug 23: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

Turn-based tactical Gears of War game is pretty neat.

I dont understand how this game gets negative reviews honestly.......*oh noooo you have to sign into Microsoft boo-hoo*...... I'm coming from the likes of Xcom and Phoenix Point and this game has been nothing but delightful. its a little more "gory" than the titles mentioned above and a fair bit less "deep" in terms of base and unit management (its closer to the original xcom series in that sense) but the campaign is a true treat ....albeit a little short.... but maybe its because I liked the game just that much..... its a shame there is no sequel despite the cliff hanger at the end. given the current price? nobrainer.... I did not experience a single bug and iv run the game on max setting with a 3090 if that helps anyone.
Highly recommended, great turn-based strategy game. Perhaps a little too easy in some parts, with few penalties for mistakes, and the barracks dynamics could be better thought out, but still highly recommended if you like this type of game.
Xcom meets Gears i think that about sums it up.
A good game with frustrating short comings. I hope they bring out a sequel with a bigger roster, and a campaign that is longer that lets you use your custom gears and has their level actually keep up with the main characters. I hope they fix boomers too, my god what awful enemy design. It boils down to either insta killing them or 95% of the time they one shot you. Game is so rng dependent on gear as well
An XCOM-like for the Gears of War world where the main mechanical differences are an entertaining Action-Point management system and Gears style executions. Equipment management also replaces base management and allows for decent character build customisation. Overall there's enough different here to say the game stands on its own and is an entertaining time, though it is slightly undermined by the potential it has if it were to go for bigger battles and maps rather than sticking to the smaller XCOM-style sizes people are familiar with. It doesn't reinvent the genre, but does carve out a fun enough niche within it for any Gears or XCOM fan looking to have a good time. The visuals are great, and the art direction solid, you can make your Gears in the Gears1 style or the Gears3 style whatever your preference, though the maps are I'd say about 75% the Gears2/3 styles which is a bit of a shame for me as I do prefer Gears1's aesthetic to the later entries. The Campaign is a decent length and the storybeats feel very Gears, though the overall tone is a bit saturday morning cartooney which again does undermine any tension or seriousness it tries to go for. The Endgame is fun to play until you've had your fill, though the grind for 100% achievements is slightly insane lol. When all's said and done, I'd say it's an enjoyable [6/10 - an entertaining time], pushed to a [7/10 - a well made game] for any Gears fan looking to be in that world again for a bit, the little touches like sliding into cover for extra distance and bouncing your frag grenades or trickshotting your torque bow shots are fantastic.
Brutal Gears of War fun from a tactical aspect. Enjoyable to those that appreciate a tactical game with the nostalgic Gears theme.
