Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 1/day in the week to Aug 14 → 2.71/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 24 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,419 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Aug 23: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

An XCOM-like for the Gears of War world where the main mechanical differences are an entertaining Action-Point management system and Gears style executions. Equipment management also replaces base management and allows for decent character build customisation. Overall there's enough different here to say the game stands on its own and is an entertaining time, though it is slightly undermined by the potential it has if it were to go for bigger battles and maps rather than sticking to the smaller XCOM-style sizes people are familiar with. It doesn't reinvent the genre, but does carve out a fun enough niche within it for any Gears or XCOM fan looking to have a good time. The visuals are great, and the art direction solid, you can make your Gears in the Gears1 style or the Gears3 style whatever your preference, though the maps are I'd say about 75% the Gears2/3 styles which is a bit of a shame for me as I do prefer Gears1's aesthetic to the later entries. The Campaign is a decent length and the storybeats feel very Gears, though the overall tone is a bit saturday morning cartooney which again does undermine any tension or seriousness it tries to go for. The Endgame is fun to play until you've had your fill, though the grind for 100% achievements is slightly insane lol. When all's said and done, I'd say it's an enjoyable [6/10 - an entertaining time], pushed to a [7/10 - a well made game] for any Gears fan looking to be in that world again for a bit, the little touches like sliding into cover for extra distance and bouncing your frag grenades or trickshotting your torque bow shots are fantastic.
Gears Tactics, it is fine, its no XCOM but an ok tactical game in the genre if you like a Gears skin over it. Still satisfying to see the executions of a chainsaw cutting someone in half or a sniper shot explode a head but it gets a bit repetitive over time with lack of enemy variety. One thing I will give it is boss fights against giant enemies like the brumak and corpser from the Gears of war games gives some unique combats but there are 3 acts with a boss at the end of each...meaning this is a very rare occurrence of something interesting and new in-between the slog of fighting the same enemies for 6-8 missions until the end of an act. Pretty short, padded by forced repetitive side missions. Another case of steam needing a middle of the road option.
The story has been intriguing and the game-play is very enjoyable. Optional mission objectives or restrictions give it that extra difficulty for those that are looking for a challenge. Equipment is versatile and customizable.
Great!
buen juego es desafiante en algunos niveles, aporta mas lore al universo de Gears
I think a huge part of this kind of games is the squad management and attachment, which this game ruins by giving you higher level recruits every mission, I got my squad cool armor, names and stuff, then I make sure they don't die of course. I finish the mission and the game gives me 4 more soldiers, all with better equipment and level, and the game keeps doing it every mission, whats the point?
