Reseña de Gear.Club Unlimited 2 - Ultimate Edition

Resumen del Juego
Gear.

Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0.43/day in the week to Jul 22 → 0.38/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

In my opinion a hidden gem and a tribute to the older era of racing games. The physics lean towards the realistic side, but mostly when driving on asphalt. I like that it keeps things simple when it comes to starting a race. Just pick an event and a car from the menu and the race starts. Just like older racing games. It has an interesting car collection with a couple of rare vehicles such as the Mazzanti Evantra ( which has become one of my favorites ) and the AC 378 GT Zagato. But also some uncommon rides from popular brands such as the Lotus 3 Eleven. There is a story, but don't expect fancy cutscenes or any voice acting. Your family has a racing team which has been struggling lately. Your father has retired and it's up to you now to compete against the 5 top ( fictional ) race drivers of the world. So the goal is to become world champion. I like the variety of the levels, some of them remind me of NFS : HP. However I find the rally a bit comical. Like, you can use pretty much any car to race on mud and snow. Sure, there are specific upgrades for off-road events, but the car still looks the same. My guess is that they either did it for fun, or it was a last minute thing and they didn't bother making it a bit more realistic. It's an arcade racing title after all so who cares. The endurance mode is the exact opposite though, that's where things get a bit more serious. That's where the game sorta pretends to be a simulation, and while it's obviously not on par with titles which solely focus on simulation, it is a great addition to the game. There's tire wear and fuel consumption, which means you gotta plan your pit stops. What's cool is that you can use the cars from your main career, which automatically receive a special bodykit and livery just for the endurance mode. It changes the look of the car to make it look like more like a GT racing car. The progress made here is unrelated to the main career, but you can earn a few extra credits and an exclusive car which can be used for non-endurance events too. While Gear.Club Unlimited 2 is an indie game, it has stunning graphics when played on the highest settings. The car geometry, reflections and lighting are AAA quality. Pros : - You can locally play split-screen multiplayer which is a nice feature to have. No need for an internet connection. - There's a customizable garage which you can decorate and also put your vehicles for display. The garage can be viewed by other players, so it's a good way to show off your car collection by putting them on display. I like how you can easily drag and drop the cars at the location you want to place them. - Runs and looks great on the Steam Deck. I'd say this is easily the best looking game I played on the Deck so far. Can last about 2 hours when fully charged. Cons : - While some of the car sounds are accurate, some others are not, or use the same sound from another car. Also, the opponent's cars do not make any sound at all which feels kinda weird. - I believe the garage could be one of the coolest features in the game, but having to buy upgrade stations and then pay again to increase their tier to unlock the higher tier upgrades kinda forces the player to grind. Fully upgrading the car can be expensive, but luckily it is possible to beat many of the events without the car being maxed out. - No wheel support. This one bothered me the most, I'd love to be able to use my wheel for this game, especially for the endurance races. I tried getting my wheel to work with the help of 3rd party software, but it was impossible due to the game not allowing you to change or delete bindings. There is no way to do so through any config files or the registry either. Kinda weird. During one of the loading screens it claims that you can " easily " change the controls from the settings menu, but you can't. It is only possible to enable/disable assists. - Can't really see anything during night races. Though the levels contain highway lamp posts, they aren't working. Like, they are there but don't produce any light, as if the electricity has been cut off.
in arch Linux, it got stuck after I switched screen from Gnome Desktop back to this Game. All mouses, keyboard & game controllers do not work in this game screen.

Only buy if you're planning on playing this on the Steam Deck.
Nearly 2 hours in and this game has started to become boring. The AI is easy to beat, handling feels weird, and progression honestly feels slow. I saw that this game was a Switch port, and honestly the way it plays makes it obvious. Wouldn't recommend if you're playing on PC.
Gear.Club Unlimited 2 to arcade'owa gra wyścigowa z licencjonowanymi autami czerpiąca z klasycznych NFS-ów sprzed podserii Underground. W GCU2 jak w najgorszej mobilce trzeba przerzucać samochód pomiędzy punktami - w jednym sobie zmieniamy silnik, potem w kolejnym zmieniamy opony, w trzecim wymieniamy inne bajery, a w czwartym zmieniamy wygląd wizualny. Jedynym wyjściem jest wykorzystywanie samochodów z najlepszą przyczepnością, by minimalizować to ryzyko. W głównej kampanii rodzaje wyścigów są standardem - zwykły wyścig, eliminator, próba czasowa. Nic ponadto. Jednak nasze zmagania zaczynamy zwykłym samochodem, bez żadnego tuningu mechanicznego, a przeciwnicy oczywiście mają ulepszone wozy.
