Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
Every market we collect.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0.43/day in the week to Sep 8 → 0.86/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 24 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,419 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.
About
Add-ons
Each DLC is estimated with the same model as a game, then summed — a modeled figure, not reported DLC sales.
Sums Steam only; Xbox, Epic publish no volume signal, so the true total is higher by an unknown amount.
Updates
Build ids and update times come straight from Steam's PICS — the same source SteamDB reads. Patch history grows as we record new builds.

Reviews
Much fun, but many game-play/balance issues remain years later. Non-existent multiplayer. Rather play the decades old MOO2.
Is this a game or bug? Not sure but one thing is certain. It is unplayable. Constant crashes, planets disappearing, save crashes, etc. Cant list all issues as I dont have long enough lifespan to write everything. It makes me sad. I really liked GC 2. Update: Played it again after they did some updates. Some things are fixed so now it is playable but still this game needs some work and I still can not recommend it.

So yeah, I tried giving this game a shot but. . .simply trying to figure out how to play it is a real pain. Nothing is clear, planets apparently have no defenses even if you build a bunch of stuff, ships apparently always loose to weaker tech civs, so yeah I really don't know what this game is even going for. The map system is a pain as well. All in all it's just a hot mess.
I liked this but never got as into it as I was hoping. Now that Gal Civ IV isn't coming to steam, I wouldn't recommend this game ever. Exclusives are ridiculous on the PC.
Needs update to fix saving issue I would love to play this game more but do to the save game not working at all I will find something else to play and until this issue is fixed I don't recommend this game.
Takes the Civilization series into the final frontier.
every game different
I think it's aged poorly, people seem to think that the expansions took quite a bit out of it and I can see their point.
