Frog with a gun, plays great, good mob design. Looks awesome too.
I really enjoyed playing this game. I think, as a first person shooter boss battler, this game absolutely rules. It understands what makes bosses fun. It's pretty rare to come across one fun boss in a single player FPS game, let alone THIRTY. There are no misses, every boss rules. As a metroidvania, I didn't find it that great. The locations are cool and distinct from each other, but once in a new area it all kinda looks the same and that becomes a little aggravating when trying to progress. The arena fights with regular mobs were pretty simplistic and easy. That said, there are some really fun areas. For some reason I especially loved the platforming levels. Make no mistake though, the star of the show are those bosses! The currencies feel mostly artificial, because the game showers you in gold and ore. Which is a good thing, because for the most part you get to use all the cool gun upgrades and spells! The gun upgrades are 10/10, all killer no filler. The spells.... Well they're mostly used to heal, and the game starts you off with the most efficient spell for healing so there's not a lot of reason to experiment there. There's also a decent amount of build variety in the form of bugs, which function much like amulets in Hollow Knight. Great diversity of options, and most seem to be viable! Super cool addition. Little nitpick, but I think it'd be great if guns reloaded themselves when you swapped off of them for long enough. As a DOOM-head I was weapon swapping like crazy and utilizing my whole arsenal, which felt slightly discouraged due to the long reload animations. Mixed feelings on presentation. The new soundtrack is okay, and I didn't find myself super drawn to the visuals. The narrative was also mostly forgettable to me. Criticisms aside, this is an awesome game that deserves your money! It is so fun to play, and that trumps all else. Every single boss had me floored with the amount of creativity on display. I am 100% sold on whatever the developer decides to make in the future! Please give it a try!

Its meh at best. The look of the game is nice but its just your typical souls-like. Disappointed the dev decided to go with something that's been overused
Honestly, stop reading reviews and go play it
This game is incredible, I can't recommend it enough. Wonderful world design and even better boss designs, the combat is *chefs kiss*. Haven't completed it fully yet but this is one of my favorite games i played this year.
Was skeptical at first but this really is a solid metroidvania FPS. Well designed bosses that do actually take effort to beat and decent exploration.
good
Banger Movement Shooter
The frog monster sat on the highest gargoyle of the gray skyscraper, its bulbous eyes blinking at the dull world below. For five years, the city had been drained of its color by the Great Smog. Everything was a monochrome wash of charcoal and slate. But today, the monster had a secret. Deep in its throat, it held a glowing, swirling marble of pure sapphire—the last drop of blue in the world. With a massive gulp, the monster swallowed the marble. Its translucent green skin began to pulse with a vibrant, neon cobalt light. It inflated its throat sack, taking a deep breath of the dusty air, and let out a booming croak that shook the soot from the windows.Ribbit.As the sound wave rippled through the streets, the sky cracked open above. A wave of deep azure washed across the horizon, pushing the heavy gray clouds away. Rain began to fall, but it wasn't dirty water; it was a downpour of liquid electric blue. The droplets hit the asphalt, turning puddles into shimmering mirrors of turquoise. Neon signs that had been dead for years flickered back to life, glowing in shades of navy and teal. The citizens ran out of their concrete buildings, tilting their heads back to catch the color on their tongues, laughing as the frog monster leaped from roof to roof, leaving a trail of beautiful, brilliant blue in its wake.
