When I finished the game "Dysmantle", I tried looking for another title with a similar experience but has deeper crafting mechanics. I've been eyeing this game for a while now and after trying out this "Prologue", I decided to buy the full version. Thanks for making this demo available! :-)

Force of Nature 2: Prologue is a free introductory survival adventure developed and published by A.Y.std. It serves as a standalone entry point to Force of Nature 2, presenting the fundamental mechanics, atmosphere, progression systems, and narrative ideas of the full game within a more restricted portion of its world. Instead of providing only a brief tutorial, the Prologue gives players enough freedom to experience the survival, crafting, RPG, exploration, farming, building, and combat systems that define the larger adventure. The result is a surprisingly substantial introduction that can be enjoyed on its own while clearly functioning as an invitation to continue into the complete game. The story revolves around the mysterious Force of Nature stone, an immensely powerful artifact created by ancient gods through the combination of elemental forces. The stone once played an important role in maintaining balance between worlds and their inhabitants, but its eventual destruction disrupted that stability. The protagonist becomes caught in the consequences and must investigate the unfamiliar world while searching for a way home. Although the narrative remains secondary to the sandbox mechanics for much of the experience, it provides a useful sense of direction. Exploration is therefore connected not only to finding resources but also to uncovering the secrets behind the world and the shattered artifact. Survival and resource gathering form the backbone of the gameplay. Players venture into the environment looking for materials that can be converted into tools, weapons, clothing, food, equipment, and construction resources. This creates a familiar but effective progression loop in which almost every expedition has practical value. A seemingly ordinary gathering trip can provide the materials required for an important crafting recipe or another improvement to the player's settlement. Advancement feels gradual, and the game generally expects players to prepare carefully instead of immediately providing powerful equipment. Construction adds another significant dimension to the experience. Players can establish a personal base and create various structures that make continued survival easier. The satisfaction comes from watching an initially undeveloped location evolve into a useful settlement filled with resources and functional facilities. Farming complements this system by allowing plants to be cultivated, while hybridization adds another element to agricultural development. Animals can also be tamed and cared for, further encouraging players to establish a sustainable home rather than spend the entire game wandering through the wilderness. The procedurally generated environment helps make exploration less predictable. Different biomes introduce changes in scenery, resources, and potential dangers, while weather and the day-and-night cycle prevent the world from feeling completely static. These environmental systems reinforce the survival atmosphere because expeditions require some awareness of surrounding conditions. The Prologue is limited primarily to the first world of the larger game, so its environmental scope is naturally smaller than that of Force of Nature 2. Even so, there is enough space and mechanical variety to communicate how the complete game's exploration is intended to function. Combat provides a necessary counterbalance to gathering, farming, and construction. Hostile creatures make exploration dangerous and encourage players to invest resources in better weapons and equipment. Boss encounters create larger challenges, while dungeons offer more focused areas for exploration and fighting. These elements ensure that improving equipment has a meaningful purpose beyond simply completing crafting recipes. Preparation becomes an essential part of progression because stronger enemies reward players who have taken the time to gather resources and improve their capabilities. RPG mechanics provide additional depth through character development, customization, quests, and progression. Side quests offer goals beyond the main narrative, while the central storyline gradually leads players deeper into the mystery surrounding the Force of Nature stone. The inclusion of two possible endings is particularly notable for an introductory release. It gives the Prologue a stronger sense of narrative closure than a typical demonstration version and makes reaching the conclusion feel like completing a small adventure rather than merely arriving at an arbitrary stopping point. One of the game's biggest advantages is also potentially its greatest obstacle. Force of Nature 2: Prologue contains many interconnected mechanics, including gathering, crafting, construction, agriculture, animal taming, exploration, combat, character progression, quests, magic, dungeons, bosses, and resource management. Players who enjoy detailed survival sandboxes can become absorbed in moving between these activities, but those expecting constant action may find the early progression slower than desired. Considerable time can be spent collecting materials and preparing for later objectives, making patience an important requirement. The isometric 3D presentation suits the gameplay particularly well because it provides a broad view of the environment during exploration, gathering, building, and combat. The visual style prioritizes readability and functionality rather than extravagant graphical spectacle. Natural environments, creatures, constructed objects, magical elements, and changing conditions provide enough variety to make exploration visually engaging. The perspective also makes managing a growing settlement relatively comfortable because players can quickly understand how buildings, resources, and surrounding terrain relate to one another. As a free Prologue, the game accomplishes its main purpose effectively. It does not hide its central mechanics behind a tiny sample or rely solely on promises about what the complete release contains. Players can directly experience crafting, survival, combat, farming, construction, animal management, procedural exploration, dungeons, quests, bosses, character development, and narrative progression before deciding whether the full Force of Nature 2 is appealing. The restriction to the opening world is noticeable, but it is reasonable considering that this version exists specifically as an introduction. Force of Nature 2: Prologue ultimately provides a strong demonstration of A.Y.std's ambitious mixture of survival crafting and fantasy RPG design. It is best suited to players who enjoy methodical progression, resource collection, settlement development, exploration, and gradually becoming more capable in a hostile environment. Its pacing and abundance of interconnected systems may prove demanding for players seeking a straightforward action experience, but those willing to invest time in its progression loop can find an enjoyable combination of creativity, discovery, preparation, and combat. Considering its substantial amount of content for a free introductory experience and how effectively it demonstrates the ideas behind the full game, Rating: 7/10
I don't like it. I already didn't like the first game but thought the sequel might be better. They attempted to add some sort of story but it is bland and barely there. There are mind numbing quests to complete and a world to "explore" but there is nothing interesting to see.
