Fishing Inc. is a charming and cozy incremental game with a great art style. I enjoyed it overall, although the actual idle progression feels almost irrelevant, and the pacing between new fish, ponds and upgrades can feel a bit grindy despite the relatively short playtime. I also tried the new Roguelike Mode. As someone who plays quite a lot of roguelikes, even the easiest difficulty feels surprisingly tough and the balancing could use some work. That said, I really like the concept and design — it has a lot of potential and I hope they keep expanding it. One bug I noticed: I unlocked the achievement for catching every fish at Uncommon rarity even though I had never caught the Carp as Uncommon. I only got it much later after finishing the game. Overall: cozy, fun, a few balancing issues and bugs, but definitely something I’d buy again.

This game is mind numbing, even compared to other incremental games you are doing almost nothing in this game. Press 2 buttons to catch a fish repeat about a 1000 times. The upgrades are a bunch of 1% upgrades, never anything meaningful once you unlock the bigger upgrades they are essentially equivalent to getting 1% upgrades as everything else scales accordingly.
