Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.

Very final much fantasy
This title was actually pretty great up until the last boss. Then the difficulty jump had me so frustrated I just uninstalled the game. Won't be finishing his one. Not gonna grind xp to finish one boss. Game was stupid easy up til this point, so i stopped xp/gil farming/grinding. Makes no sense. I'm moving on. [edit/note:] It seems like many folks online are saying there was a major balancing issue on the final boss because of additional content released in alternate variations of the game; of which would have boosted XP and GEAR tremendously; of which did not make it to this release of the game; but the BEEFY stats stayed. Watching the recorded ending online was better than grinding that last however many levels it wanted...just for the boss and the droplet of summary content that followed. Square needs to fix that detail asap. Until then, no, I cannot recommend this game in it's current state.

14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Aug 22: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 2.89/day in the week to Aug 4 → 4.57/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 24 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,404 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Final Fantasy Remaster was a great game for a complete play through for myself due to the story line and ease of control with both the keyboard/mouse and a 360 controller. Being a Remastered Version was easier on the eyes with updated graphics and sounds plus new music definitely help when playing the game. Thank you to the Remaster Developing Team for remaking this game with the new improved graphics and add-ons, it makes so more enjoyable to play after all these years !
Okay, incredibly dated, but comparing it to what else had been released in 1987 and you can see how it became a big franchise. It took the concept of a D’n’D’ campaign, fantasy anime and novels, and the formula created by SpikeChunsoft with Dragon Quest the year before, and turned it into it’s own thing that felt like an adventure that’s still a blueprint for many modern RPGs and even action-adventure games. As a game, I feel that I would not have enjoyed it if I hadn’t played the Pixel Remaster version, too out of step with modern QoL stuff.
It was enjoyable, just regrettable the elemental dungeons weren't included.
Classic awesome
Final Fantasy serisini oynamak istiyordum ve artık oynadım. Kesinlikle keyif aldım. Yeni oyunlar gibi elden tutmaması ve bir şeyleri çözmek için çaba göstermek güzeldi. Oynamak isteyenlere tavsiye ediyorum. Lakin japon oyunları hoşunuza gidiyorsa...
Final Fantasy is a very quaint game in 2026, in the sense that it is so rudimentary and basic yet paved the way for everything we know about the JRPG genre as we know it now. I think this game is probably the single easiest game in the Final Fantasy series to enjoy. By that, I mean it is so simple, so understandable and agreeable that basically anyone with an interest in role playing games could pick it up and finish it with no issues and will have probably enjoyed their time with it. It lacks all of the polish, difficulty, technicality, and narrative of literally every FF game after it, but it is for sure the most easy to pick up and replay. After 39 years of being out, it's impressive to me that my attention was still held tightly by this scrappy dog of a game. If you want a relatively short, sweet, easy jaunt through a very basic and narrow narrative, Final Fantasy I is the game to play.
