Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
13 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.

Reviews
Very slow and linear at first, but once you reach the open map area. That's when the game actually starts. Also the story and characters and visuals are top tier.

13 on sale2 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 2 “not sold” markets are read from the Steam price pass of Sep 11: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price in those. The 13 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 5.67/day in the week to Aug 4 → 6/day in the week after.
Too few observations to say whether a discount moves this store's chart at all: across the last 30 days Steam · Top Sellers · Poland has just 18 day-to-day chart moves that followed a price cut, against 2,498 that did not. We are publishing the count instead of a direction — 20 is the fewest we will draw a conclusion from, and price collection outside the United States began on 6 August 2026.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Probably my favourite in the Final Fantasy series. Really good story with good characters. Wonderful OST.
Two things. One this is a turd of a port, with 720p cutscenes and constant crashes. You need a very specific set of mods installed in a specific order for it to even work and you can only play with keyboard and mouse. Two. This is, quite possibly, the worst game ever made and its not even close. You're locked into a single featureless corridor for dozens of hours before the game starts. You just walk down it, have flash backs, walk down it. The characters are some of the worst written characters in fiction. Even using cheatengine to skip vast swathes of it doesn't help. But then finally, finally the game unlocks... and it's garbage. Pure unfiltered garbage. Enemies become brick walls with very specific solutions and party members needed. Guess wrong and you have to rewatch a 40 minute cutscene to try again. Don't buy it. Don't get it for free. The only value this has is giving it to your worst enemy,
I did not like this game. If you wanna give it a try cuz Lighting looks cool, i get it, go for it! but in all seriousness, I did end up beating this game, and it was the biggest slog of a game ever, just hallways after hallways and encounters could take over a minute each (but maybe thats just me being bad at the game) This game went from the most on rails experience ever to the most open world thing ever and neither worked for me. Especially pacing-wise chapter 11 has gotta be like, the bulk of the entire game's runtime. Also, the main party takes waaayyy to long to reunite. Lightning pisses me off. Some of these boss fights were so time consuming and it just pissed me off even more whenever my party leader would die right before beating the boss, but thats a skill issue i guess.. I played this game on a steam deck, and it was quite nice, it ran great on the deck, beware of your battery life tho. The game looks very pretty visually, especially the environments and cutscenes. the combat, while tricky for me to get a grasp on at first, was pretty novel and very fun to play around with once you get the hang of it. The story was okay. Actually this game is kinda buns, youre better off spending 8 hours watching every cutscene on youtube than spending 50 hours mashing the auto battle button, please play literally any other Final Fantasy omgg Despite it all, I am still interested in, and do plan on playing XIII-2 and Lightning Returns sometime in the future
Well it's technically a game, in a sense that you can press buttons. But this "game" definitely plays more like a confirm-to-continue-movie. Gameplay is probably the weakest part. The core loop is walking along a linear level from enemy encounter to enemy encounter. Then in the actual battle you just press X/A and occasionally swap your lineup/roles. I'd heard the linearity stops after chapter 11 but that is like 12-18 hours in, when skipping all cutscenes. But the combat mechanic does not change from the autobattler.
As a longtime Final Fantasy fan, I was disappointed by the PC version of Final Fantasy XIII. While the game itself remains a memorable RPG, the Steam port has several technical issues that negatively affected my experience. Main Issues I Encountered: Performance and stability problems. Frequent crashes, especially when alt-tabbing, during cutscenes, and occasionally during gameplay. The game appears to be limited by 2GB memory addressing, requiring a community-made 4GB patch to improve stability. Uneven frame pacing and noticeable stuttering. No borderless windowed mode; only fullscreen and windowed modes are available. Fullscreen seemed less stable on my system. Limited resolution options, with no native 4K support. Controller button layout settings do not always save correctly, requiring me to reconfigure them repeatedly. The game itself still has many strengths, including its story, characters, music, and combat system. However, the technical issues make the PC version difficult to recommend without community fixes and troubleshooting. I would like to see Square Enix revisit and improve some of their older PC ports, especially Final Fantasy XIII, to provide a more stable experience for modern hardware. <- THIS IS MUST HAVE SQUARE ENIX! If you're a dedicated Final Fantasy fan or collector, you may still want to own it. Just be aware that you may need to spend some time applying fixes and working around technical problems. Overall: Great game, disappointing PC port.
:(
