FINAL FANTASY® XIII

2026 Still waiting FFXIII Trilogy Remaster. Wanna grab my money huh?

This game was the first Final Fantasy I've ever tried, I recall being a kid and hearing about FF on the PlayStation 3 so many times, though I never became interested in the series, which I find a bit off considering my love for RPG's. It was only when I was recommended to try this title by a friend of mine when I truly realised how much I've been missing out on! I know well that most fans of the series don't like FF-13, but then again, a lot of them seem pretty divisived when you look from afar, I pay no mind to what they think, I find this game to be great either way. I think the story is amazing, music, visuals, mechanics, protagonists, everything! They really make you care about the characters and what happens to them, paired with an addictive gameplay and awesome music; this game is awesome!

Lovely game. Great story, great characters. The combat takes some getting used to for sure, but once you get the hang of it I found it quite interesting. There is a lot of walking. There is some light to heavy farming depending on how far you want to take the game before you beat it, but its very rewarding. If you're in the <1% of Steam users with a single 5120x1440 monitor, there is an ultrawide fix that works well. Pre-rendered cutscenes and some screen effects are still the standard size and some GUI elements look silly, but it's very agreeable. I didn't have to wrangle this game much. I did install the FF13Fix. I have to end Steam via Task Manager and run Steam as administrator to reliably take screenshots for an amount of time before they eventually start crashing the game again. Overall only had three actual crashes throughout my time with the game. I had to use DS4 to get the game to work with a PS5 controller.

PC port sucked. Get an xbox if you wanna play this game. The story is good, the gameplay is not the greatest but if the PC port was remotely moderatable, I would have enjoyed grinding and doing side content but I wanted this game out of the way.

思い出補正もあるが、個人的にはFFの中で1.2を争うくらい好きな作品。 ps3で初めてこのゲームをプレイしたときの感動は今でも忘れられない、テンポ感はあまり良いとは言えないが3部作すべてを合体させてリメイクを作ってほしいという期待も込めておすすめにします。
