FINAL FANTASY X/X-2 HD Remaster

Mi FF favorito con diferencia. Muy buena historia, banda sonora, personajes muy logrados y con buen trasfondo. Tiene una cantidad absurda de contenido ( completarlo todo pueden ser perfectamente 200hs ). Es por turnos completamente y el sistema de rama de habilidades esta entretenido. Muy recomendable.

A lot of people say that Final Fantasy X is the best Final Fantasy and I could easily see why. The gameplay, story, characters, and soundtrack are basically perfect. It's a package with tons of replayability potential and the overarching themes of the game are executed supremely. FFX departs from the ATB system used from FF6 to FF9 and goes back being turn based. But it's a conditional turn based system meaning that it doesn't simply operate in rounds. You can manipulate how many turns your party gets with different things such as spells, attacks and stats meaning that there's a layer of strategising to consider which makes the combat a lot more engaging especially against foes with a higher health pool. I do think that if they ever go back to turn based combat, this is how it should be done. I enjoyed the ATB system in the previous titles but this is superior in my opinion. It's right up there with the hybrid system they made for the FF7 Remake trilogy. The story is something that felt really odd and I mean it in a good way. It feels slow (in a good way) yet fast-paced. Compared to its predecessors, Final Fantasy X feels shorter even though it's by all means a larger game. But the pacing of the story is just incredible. It's also the first game with voice acting which is great though I'll admit that it hasn't aged all that well compared to newer titles but it has its charm like the infamous laugh scene. It's a really good story with many plot twists, like this game really surprised me with its twists and it all made perfect sense. Character writing and design is peak as always for Final Fantasy. The beach aesthetic is executed very well, love the fits in this game. It's a story with two protagonists even though you technically only really play as Tidus but I'd say that both Tidus and Yuna are equal when it comes to importance and both are written super well. But man, some of the minigames are grueling. I've played through FF7 Rebirth but at least those minigames have proper controls (for the most part) and are shorter. The ones in this game just suck I'm sorry but there's no other way to say it. There's also this puzzle known as the Cloister of Trials across several main story locations which are just a chore to do and some of them just ruins the pacing of the story. Though I'm not going to subtract anything away from the game because of them. This is Final Fantasy after all. The game also lacks a lot of quality of life and I think part of it is how horrendous the Remaster port of this game is. If this game was actually remastered properly and given the quality of life features it deserves, the experience would be much smoother. Kinda wish it gets some sort of remake like Crisis Core Reunion X/X, second favourite Final Fantasy for sure
