Modeled estimate, not a reported figure. How we estimate →
Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.

Each DLC is estimated with the same model as a game, then summed — a modeled figure, not reported DLC sales.

Reviews
One of the best games ever created and even better on PC. The rich story, amazing combat, and empathy you feel for the characters is something rare in video games. Literally a life changing game.

14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Sep 13: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 8.56/day in the week to Aug 4 → 11.14/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 24 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,404 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Matched by title — a reused name can pair the wrong games. * is a critic aggregate. Prices and positions are each store's United States storefront; Epic charts worldwide. Audience and Score too, except Steam's, which is worldwide.

This is one of the best games of all time. Unfortunately, people who have never played it before are not going to be able to see that because the cutscenes are NOT VISIBLE due to bugs. This includes a key scene where Yuna makes a big decision in Bevelle. THAT scene cuts in and out. lmao terrible UPDATE: the scene on the cover of the game also was just green LOL this is a complete joke
Great game, but terrible port. The game has this horrible blur that is presents itself in cutscenes, and combat transitions which causes this smearing ghosting effect. The game also feels like its locked behind a 30fps slideshow which causes movement gameplay to feel nauseous. I attempted to correct these with mods but were unsuccessful. Using 60 fps crashes the game, and there doesnt seem to be any way to fix the horrible ghost smearing or post processing,. I would avoid this version of the game, and instead either emulate it or purchase it on console.
I recommend this game... just not the steam version. Like a lot of people say, basic things like cutscenes don't work properly and it ruins the experience.
Alright. If we are only talking about the story and characters then I would recommend this title in a heart beat. Loved this game when it first came out in the early 2000s and still love this title today. My issues with it is this version. During the movies sometimes I get a green screen. Other times I don't. Sometimes the game just crashes and other times I can play 5hrs straight. The simple answer is this Version of the game I would not recommend until there is a update to it and the reality of that happens..... Who knows. If you have a copy of orignal PS2 version then go back to that. Or can get a copy from someone else. This version is bugged.
Mi sa uno dei giochi migliori di tutti i tempi
the remaster seems more unstable with each windows update. this port might work fine on your machine, but in my experience, spontaneous crashes have become more common over time. these games rock. what hasn’t been said about FFX? It’s great. FFX-2 hasn’t received the same level of praise, so I’ll try to do it justice. if you are a fan of ATB and job systems, you don't need to enjoy the story (which is admittedly hit-or-miss). FFX-2 gameplay is still peak. however, if you can pick this game up on console like most jrpgs, you probably should.
I have crashed 4 times in 2 hours of gameplay. Like others have said cutscenes are mostly unskippable and are pretty jank. Probably gonna refund...
