In Midgar, a city controlled by the mega-conglomerate Shinra Inc., the No. 1 Mako Reactor has been blown up by a rebel group, AVALANCHE.
AVALANCHE was secretly formed to wage a rebellion against Shinra Inc., an organisation which is absorbing Mako energy, destroying the natural resources of the planet. Cloud, a former member of Shinra's elite combat force, SOLDIER, was involved with the bombing of the Mako Reactor.

Just take your time understand mechanics and the battle modes and you will love this. Just seen Tifa on table iykyk what a sequence.
Finally played this game after 29 years of its release, In 1997 I was playing Diablo and Fallout and Quake II, such great games for its time. Compared to those games FF7 aged like milk. Combat is fine but everything else is rage inducing, especially absense of minimal quest log, rare save points and minigames. Game crashed right befor unfailable duel with finall boss, had to watch ending on youtube lol. Was fun expirience but would not play it again and not excitet about remakes because plot is pretty mid.

First run in 2024; started playing in order the entire series blind in 2022. I Can't have the same feelings of the 90' but I can comprehend the magnitude of the opera. Not my best FF (6 is unreachable) but still peak, with great story and characters.
