Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Charts
Each storefront's own chart, in its own country — the closest public signal to sales where none is published. A country missing from a list is one we don't collect there, not one where the game doesn't chart.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.

Add-ons
Each DLC is estimated with the same model as a game, then summed — a modeled figure, not reported DLC sales.
Sums Steam only; PlayStation, Epic, Nintendo publish no volume signal, so the true total is higher by an unknown amount.

I've got 60 hours into this game, I'm 95% done with the Corel region in Chapter 9, and I'm uninstalling it... I just don't know what they wanted to do with this game. It has so much bloat and filler and just nonsense that doesn't serve the gameplay or the story and really doesn't fit with this whole "save the world" story. I'm no FF7 purist, I'm not mad at things they changed to tell a "new story", but.... Everything is a minigame, everything is a QTE, everything is a "this could have been a 30sec cutscene, not 2 minutes of me holding Y". Like, the goofy, anime trope stuff didn't bother me, but it was silly. it was stuff like multiple indicators for every objective, the neon squares and yellow paint with the Interact icon just incase you missed it. It was the filler "world info" objectives that hide key items that have a multiple indicators and that (*(*$#@& Chadley running his mouth when ever you get close. And EVERYTHING runs through Chadley! Chadley starts the subquest with 1 min dialog, he chimes in when you are close, the environmental indicators kick in (birds, glowing rocks, big compass roses...), then Chadley again, then you do the thing with either a cutscene or QTE, wait for the animation to finish, THEN CHADLEY EXPLAINS IT ALL AGAIN! I lost all interest before I left the first region.... Combat can be fun, but lacks any weight. Enemies just agro whichever character you control (yes, there is a provoke materia, but no...). Taking and dealing damage feels hollow until you get stun locked. And too many basic enemies are just damage spounges. The minigames... the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ minigames.... This is Wario Inc. in FF clothes. The difficulty is arbitrary, the controls are purposely unintuitive, sometimes the patterns and mechanics just change between attempts, and they take way.... too...... long...... but so much content is locked behind them, including main story points. Want all the weapon tomes so your characters actually get stronger? Get ready to grind minigames in the Golden Saucer! And if its not the minigames, its the QTEs or button press/hold events. The opening flashback chapter, Cloud has to turn a crank. Cool. To do so, hold L2 and R2, for 5 secs... ok... Now do it again after Cloud resets.... and then another 3 or 4 times..... Every chocobo stop in the overworld is a long hold to activate, every lever, every elevator switch..... And there are moments that have none of these, yet still feel like total waists of time and bloat! Cloud forced to LIMP or crawl through Nibelheim for no real reason but to pad time and artificially inflate tension when it is already there. There is a sequence with Zach that starts off with a cutscene, then without any indication or shift in POV, you are in control of him. When you realize this after he stares at you for a few awkward seconds, your goal is to leave this room and go to another for the next cutscene. 10 seconds of thrilling walking gameplay between minutes of cutscenes.... for filler and player experience..... I did like the world though, it is beautiful, as long as you are not going from dark to light areas and getting blinded or staring at a black screne, or waiting for the textures to pop in.... It absolutely lacks the charm and unique atmosphere of the old games, as everything looks "our world" real, but it is very pretty. I also liked the character interactions. I loved how Tifa and Aerith interacted, I liked Yuffie as the over-enthusiastic anime girl. Barret and Red were ok, but their more dramatic story points were totally overshadowed by the goofy stuff happening around them. and so many of the reveals and twists are telegraphed way too early. So yeah.... massively disappointed in this utterly bloated game with a serious lack of real direction or character. I don't think this does anything good for FF7 as a brand or the FF series as a whole franchise. If this was my first experience with JRPGs, I would be turned off of them.

14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Sep 4: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.
Same day: best CA #19, worst CN #73 · 11 markets collected
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 36.33/day in the week to Aug 4 → 40/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,402 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Trying to complete this game made me so angry I put up candles and starting chanting trying to put curses on the developers
Outdated game design -- Filled with filler and bloated fetch quests. Its too bad that this is even associated with the original.
This feels like Kingdom Hearts more than Final Fantasy. Shame, beautiful graphics doesn't help with level design and weak twist of the original story. Side quest feels like a chores, repetitive and boring.
If you think this is a good game, you are the problem.
.... Man I dont even care enough to leave a proper review. I'm five hours in. Never played the original. It's a timesink, and it just weighs you down with the sheer amount of just useless extraneous ♥♥♥♥ you can do. The idea of how much precious time of my single life on this good earth, that I'd have to invest in side quests, card games and *♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ flower picking* to "experience the game to its fullest" is exhausting and overwhelming. I guess if you like a timesink, then this game is for you. Otherwise give it a pass. I hate openworld games atp.
30块钱没忍住买了,还是亏了,比前作还粪
They really did figure out how to stretch what was originally a 60-80 hour jrpg into the 3 part 100+ hour slopfest that this trilogy is. Maybe in the third installment, they'll actually let us play a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ action rpg instead of ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ MARIO PARTY MINIGAMES. Even if you bought this game on sale at a heavy discount like I did, you still paid way too much. Do yourself a favor and sail the seven seas if you really wanna torture yourself with this piece of god-awful software.
Changes the story and characters from the OG for the worse. Because Squenix decide to make one game into three Rebirth is poorly paced and stuffed with fluff, much of which is uninteresting. The combat is good and the game looks good, so it's fun for a while to run around and fight stuff with the OG cast but its not enough to make the whole game a good experience. If you want an FF7 experience play the original, if you want an action focused jrpg go play tales of berseria or arise.
