Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 3.67/day in the week to Aug 5 → 5.29/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.
About

Ivalice—a kingdom blessed by the light of the gods and ruled by the Two-headed Lion. A year after her defeat to Ordallia in the Fifty Years' War, the king succumbed to malady, leaving a mere boy of two to ascend the throne.
Whoever was named regent would rule in truth, and thus emerged two rival candidates: dukes Goltanna and Larg, whose deeds during the war had earned them great renown. Goltanna the Black Lion and Larg the White Lion were destined to clash, and the resulting conflict would come to be known as the War of the Lions.
Against this backdrop appear Ramza, third son of House Beoulve, one of Ivalice's leading military families, and his childhood companion Delita, a commoner raised amongst nobles. As they endeavor to chart a course through this tumultuous age, a mighty current draws them ever closer to the abyss.

Lead your party in exhilarating encounters where strategic positioning and forward planning determine the outcome. Use the varied terrain of 3D battlefields to your advantage, skillfully manipulate the turn order, and victory will be yours for the taking.

Combine a wide variety of jobs and abilities to craft your very own strategies.
As your party members grow, they will gain access to more jobs, each with its own unique abilities. Once learned, abilities can be used even after changing to another job. With over 20 jobs to master—including white mage, black mage, dragoon, and many others from the FINAL FANTASY series—and hundreds of abilities to learn, you have the freedom to experiment and discover the combinations that best suit your party. Chocobos and other creatures can also be tamed and led into battle.

With improved graphics, fully voiced dialogue, and refined gameplay, the enhanced version provides the perfect way to immerse yourself in the world of Ivalice. Along with the fine-tuning of several features and battle mechanics, the inclusion of the more accessible "Squire" difficulty setting makes the enhanced version an excellent starting point for first-time players.
The classic version unites the graphics and gameplay of the original 1997 version with the renowned War of the Lions translation for a unique way to experience this beloved title.
The Enhanced version of the game supports a wide variety of controller options.
It also supports keyboard and mouse controls.
The Classic version of the game only supports XInput controllers.
Keyboard controls are also supported, but mouse controls are not supported.

1.5 and still spanish hasn't been added. Lazy and so cheap, for Square Enix
The Ivalice Chronicles is one of SE's better recent offerings and arguably the best version of FFT to date; however, in typical SE fashion, while this is the best version currently available, it's not the best version that they could have made, not even remotely. It would have been nice, though not essential, to have included a little extra end-game content for us haggard old veterans to chew on; a limitless dungeon, a new game +, maybe an online VS mode...boiler plate re-release stuff. But not only are such features absent, the excellent WoTL content which they had already developed in ages past has been cut out. While this version has many great things to offer, it will always stand in the shadow of those omissions. With Ivalice Chronicles, you're basically paying for two things; the ability to play on a modern platform in a modern way (i.e., the UI and quality-of-life adjustments) and the complete narration of all the dialogue in the game. From a technical standpoint, they did a good job modernizing it. All of the visual elements look decent and work together well, and everything is presented and showcased very nicely. My only gripe is that the layout of the menu's have been changed quite a bit and can feel a tad unnatural at times (okay...maybe more than a tad unnatural if you still have muscle memory from playing prior versions for hundreds of hours). And the quality-of-life features make a bigger impact on FFT than on any other SE re-release to date. The ability to flee from random encounters and to fast forward through animations makes a huge impact on the overall flow of the game. I found myself using them constantly; it'd be hard to image ever playing the game again without them. But if this version has anything truly new to contribute to FFT's legacy, then it's clearly the narration. Honestly, that was the sole feature that secured my purchase, and having now played and mastered the game I can say that I was not disappointed. FFT's story is of such scope and scale that I could envision it as a multi-season, "Game of Thrones" caliber miniseries. Having the entire dialogue brought to life with voice acting is the closest thing we'll probably ever get to that, and SE did a pretty good job pulling it off. The actors are well-cast and give solid performances all around. A few mid-battle exchanges become overly-wrought and dampen the pace of combat, but on the whole, the game is vastly improved by having its intricate tale of conspiracy and power imbued with the flourish of human theater. In summary, while the exclusion of WoTL content leaves a noticeable void, I'd much rather have this version than no PC version at all. It does a great job servicing the core story and the world that made the original so great, and by days end that's all I suppose I can rightfully require from SE.

14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Aug 20: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

can't play offline A DRM for a remaster of a 1997 game is a joke no longer funny.
It’s absurd that in 2026 an important game like this launches without an Italian translation. Italian fans have supported Final Fantasy for years and still get ignored. Very disappointing.
A decent port of the game. Not bad enough to get a thumbs down but not great because of arbitrary decsions. They made the ridiculous decision to NOT include the movies or the extra classes WotL added. It was so close to being a perfect release/upgrade but there were some strangely awful stupid decsions to cut extra content in what should be an ultimate edition. You can choose to play the thee, thou, ye olde english version of WotL but if you play the newest version someone just decided "Hey people always want LESS right?" then they improved SOME things and just blatently cut other things for awful reasons.
Ramza carries one of the best stories in tactics RPGs (and FF??)! The political depth and twists still hit hard decades later. Gameplay's hella addictive, Steam Deck performance is great with atleast 2-3 hours gameplay and stable 60 fps!! Only gripe: ditch the Denuvo so this can be played fully offline on the go tbh that's the one thing standing between this and a perfect handheld experience... Highly recommended. 9/10, would tactic again.
