Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 3.67/day in the week to Aug 5 → 5.29/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.
About

Ivalice—a kingdom blessed by the light of the gods and ruled by the Two-headed Lion. A year after her defeat to Ordallia in the Fifty Years' War, the king succumbed to malady, leaving a mere boy of two to ascend the throne.
Whoever was named regent would rule in truth, and thus emerged two rival candidates: dukes Goltanna and Larg, whose deeds during the war had earned them great renown. Goltanna the Black Lion and Larg the White Lion were destined to clash, and the resulting conflict would come to be known as the War of the Lions.
Against this backdrop appear Ramza, third son of House Beoulve, one of Ivalice's leading military families, and his childhood companion Delita, a commoner raised amongst nobles. As they endeavor to chart a course through this tumultuous age, a mighty current draws them ever closer to the abyss.

Lead your party in exhilarating encounters where strategic positioning and forward planning determine the outcome. Use the varied terrain of 3D battlefields to your advantage, skillfully manipulate the turn order, and victory will be yours for the taking.

Combine a wide variety of jobs and abilities to craft your very own strategies.
As your party members grow, they will gain access to more jobs, each with its own unique abilities. Once learned, abilities can be used even after changing to another job. With over 20 jobs to master—including white mage, black mage, dragoon, and many others from the FINAL FANTASY series—and hundreds of abilities to learn, you have the freedom to experiment and discover the combinations that best suit your party. Chocobos and other creatures can also be tamed and led into battle.

With improved graphics, fully voiced dialogue, and refined gameplay, the enhanced version provides the perfect way to immerse yourself in the world of Ivalice. Along with the fine-tuning of several features and battle mechanics, the inclusion of the more accessible "Squire" difficulty setting makes the enhanced version an excellent starting point for first-time players.
The classic version unites the graphics and gameplay of the original 1997 version with the renowned War of the Lions translation for a unique way to experience this beloved title.
The Enhanced version of the game supports a wide variety of controller options.
It also supports keyboard and mouse controls.
The Classic version of the game only supports XInput controllers.
Keyboard controls are also supported, but mouse controls are not supported.

14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Aug 20: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

Great game. I'm very fond of the general vibe, and I love the English writing of Ivalice games (that sort of half-Shakespearian tone, and an understated undercurrent of theatricality). The story is genuinely compelling, though a bit complex at first. Though it could be because I have a terrible memory for names, and the Ivalice games are very fond of referring to their characters and factions with various synonyms and titles that are actually all referring to the same thing. Which is why it's amazing that they included a sort of in-game encyclopedia that dynamically updates after every single scene, that has a scrollable timeline that makes pivotal moments of the narrative far easier to parse, and a list of every single scene with a "replay" button. I was afraid that they were going to retranslate the game and move away from the "War of the Lions" version script, but as it turns out, interviews were misleading; there are only some very, very minor changes to existing text, and there are tons of completely new dialogue that can trigger if specific named party members are present in most fights of the 2nd half of the story. And it all follows the WoTL style of writing. It's all an improvement as far as I'm concerned. The voice acting is VERY good. However the direction does not always match the situation: sometimes, it really feels like characters ought to be raising their voice more, if not outright yell at each other. But the dialogue is acted as if they were talking quietly right next to each other. It's a bit jarring. The combat is serviceable, but hasn't aged too well. They really smoothed over a lot of the worst jank, though. The new interface is a great improvement, and simply being able to move to a tile, realize you needed to be on the next tile over, undo your move and do that instead — that's a massive quality-of-life upgrade. Unfortunately, I'd say the general pace of combat remains quite sluggish and it doesn't feel like the game is about skill expression, but more about knowing all the various ways you can get screwed over by spells heretofore unseen. Sometimes it can feel a bit like a FF trivia quiz. Here's an encounter with undead, you better know about using Phoenix Down on them! And unless you want to spend a lot of tedious time grinding, you will probably end up doing Arithmetician cheese in order to close out the last third of the game. It does feel like that game that kind of expects you to break it rather than master it on its own terms, if that makes sense. The visual upgrade is also wonderful, it's subtle but makes a huge difference. Exactly the kind of "it's as you remember it" kind of step forward, which is the right territory for a "remake" to land it. The added shadows and lighting almost feel vaguely impressionist from time to time, which is very fitting. THINGS I DIDN'T LIKE: • The PSP version's animated cutscenes are included and redubbed, BUT... the audio mixing on the redub is strange (almost as if they turned off literally all processing on the mics), the videos are cropped from their original ultrawide format, and... they simply are not shown to you by default... and there isn't even anything that tells you "hey, this scene you just watched has an animated version, go look for it here" • The camera is "too low". Your focal point is always the very center of the screen, but this doesn't account for the new interface which takes up most of the bottom of the play area. You know how some FPS games don't have the crosshair in the center of the screen, but lower, so that you're more incentivised to look up? What I'm getting at is that the whole game should have been offset a bit higher in order to account for the fact that the new interface hides a lot of the play area. • The voice direction in a few moments, as mentioned previously. • The "fast forward" button is not very responsive: it takes a full second for fast forward to kick in, and a second for it to go away, so sometimes, if you're trying to simply fast forward through a fight, it might accidentally make you skip a line of all that new dialogue they added mid-fight. • While a lot of things are now explained very clearly, others remain bafflingly cryptic. For example, I don't think it's explained anywhere that there's actually 3 types of shops, all with different inventory. I also don't believe the accuracy penalty/bonuses for flanking, height, etc. are explained clearly anywhere? • Inventory and skills management kind of sucks. Switching back and forth between unlocking skills and equipping them is painful, especially when you're trying to make a hard decision about which new thing to commit JP to. • I checked out the French version, and it does not feature the same kind of style & vibe to the writing. Unfortunate. • The new visuals are great, but sometimes they commit sprite crimes (keeping them bilinearly filtered wherever they show up) OVERALL: 100% recommend playing it if you like Final Fantasy games, especially if you loved the other Ivalice games.
This game is quite literally the cradle of life for the modern tactics game era. I've tried as many tactics games as I can, even the older Ogre Tactics and forward games, but nothing comes close to being as complete as FFT. The story still holds true today, hell it might even be more true today. A truly rewarding experience with lots of secrets and replay-ability. It honestly is one of the greatest of all time, enjoy!
As good as I remembered. I enjoyed every minute of it. Thanks for making me feel young again. It is a gift to be able to play this game on modern displays and hardware. FFT was, and will always be, the GOAT for me. A note of caution to new players: this is a remaster of a 1997 game, not a remake. It may feel basic in gameplay, story, and character development when compared to a more modern title like Triangle Strategy. It doesn't have all the quality of life features we expect in 2025. But it is still a great game and a faithful remaster of the original.
LAMENTABLE.
