Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0/day in the week to Sep 2 → 0/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Despite showing initial promise, I was disappointed with how the game systems are implemented. It's such a shame, because Legends shows so much promise. Even as someone who had a passing relationship with the books when I was younger (1-4 as they were repackaged in the early noughties, where Creature of Havoc was reshuffled to book 4), there's a little thrill to seeing Blacksand and Firetop Mountain on the world map. Seeing how the battle system varies from the original makes it feel so fresh at first. But then the cracks start to show, very quickly. The biggest issue that the specifics of how battle is determined - you roll a number of attack dice against enemy defense and vice versa in turns, and then excess damage to defense is applied to health - turns fights into a battle of attrition. You don't 'do' anything, nor do you feel like you are stronger than an opponent. It devolves into just rolling to see who wins the DPS race. I feel like the original battle system had its flaws, but this comes away worse for wear when you only see your HP as a resource to have slowly whittled down, while your skill never protects you the way it did in the originals. This slip up then cascades into worse problems - if you avoid softlocking yourself, you will still, at the very least, see yourself going through the same repetitive sections of the game, over and over, broken up with a little RNG, getting weaker each time which seals you into the cycle. I was excited to look at a partly-original 'compilation' gamebook, or an RPG set in the Fighting Fantasy universe, but what I got was a messy halfway house of the two that stumbles so badly in its execution that it undoes the whole endeavour.

Classic experience for the nostalgic
There is not much positive to say about this game. Tries to be a unique TTRPG but is just frustrating and repetitive.
I'm a big fan of all three original gamebooks with City of Thieves even being my number one favourite, so it pains me to jot this down as a negative review. They sadly didn't use any of the wonderful art found in those books so some encounters, for example with Nicodemus, didn't feel as grand as it should've been. The writing itself was also greatly stripped down, however I did find some of the new writing for new quests/NPC's/encounters to be serviceable. Some (a lot) of encounters are missing which was so apparent in the Warlock of Firetop Mountain segment that I wondered if the developers ran out of money. Also making quest items only appear in other stories was a stupid idea. How was I supposed to know the code to Balthus Dire's room is with the frail man in Firetop Mountain?! Also hated the lack of a manual save system and not having the ability to jump back to the world map, either of which could've spared me so much time running through areas over and over and over again. Just play the original gamebooks, they're so much better.
now I have to get rid of the unicorn tattoo

eh... Could use some improvements but i like the concept. Its worth the price I got it for i guess.
