Far Cry 3 - Blood Dragon

The game is pretty cool i suppose, but its weird like, there are points in the game that are actually so much fun and some of my favorite gameplay in one of my favorite series for casual play, but then there are points in the game that are so mind numbingly boring, especially if you are grabbing every achievement. For a game with such a fun art style and vibe to be paired with such a boring map and boring grind gameplay loop its just so bizarre too me. I don't know what the dev cycle was like and obviously this is a shorter game by design, I just can't help but feel like I've stumbled upon cut content while exploring and I just have to wish they did something. Because while I find the "story" missions to be relatively fun, I honestly can not say the same for 95 percent of the "side" missions. Yeah there were a couple neat ones, but most were really boring and tedious and believe me I am not hard to please. I will say that it's still worth doing purely for the weapon upgrades which are honestly one of the best parts of the game cus the upgrades make the guns completely busted and its awesome, though I do wish that at the very least that the bow could have been upgraded even if they still didn't let you upgrade the "late game" weapons. I'd like to say I found the collectables fun like I usually do in Farcry cus then I get to see at least semi interesting locations, not the case here. There is hardly an interesting point on the map whatsoever. I could go on but like I said its a mixed bag, but I'd honestly still recommend picking it up on sale for a quick game to play. Like I said, it fails in a lot of ways, but the ways it succeeds really make up for it in the end, at least for me.
