Die Story beginnt damit, dass du im Bunker geboren wirst. Nach einer kurzen Kindheit haut dein Vater (gesprochen von Liam Neeson) einfach ab. Anstatt die Ruhe zu geniessen, rennst du ihm hinterher, trittst ins Ödland und wirst sofort von der Grafik erschlagen: Alles – wirklich alles – ist grau-grün. Es sieht aus, als hätte jemand eine世紀 alte Erbsensuppe über den Monitor gekippt.Der ganz normale Überlebenskampf gegen das Spielsystem: Das Gunplay aus der Hölle: Wenn du versuchst, dieses Spiel wie einen normalen Shooter zu spielen, triffst du nicht mal ein Scheunentor aus zwei Metern Entfernung. Die Schussmechanik fühlt sich an, als würde dein Charakter mit Boxhandschuhen hantieren. Deshalb musst du das V.A.T.S.-System nutzen. Das friert die Zeit ein, damit du in Ruhe zuschauen kannst, wie dein Charakter mit einer Trefferchance von 95 % drei Meter am Kopf eines Mutanten vorbeischiesst. Megaton (Die Stadt der Genies): Die erste Siedlung, die du findest, ist um eine scharfe Atombombe herum gebaut. Ein Kult betet das Ding an. Ein schmieriger Typ im Saloon bietet dir sofort Geld an, um die Stadt in die Luft zu jagen. Wenn du es tust, zieht deine Auftraggeberin einfach in einen nahegelegenen Luxus-Tower um und ist ein bisschen sauer, weil ihre Haut jetzt im Dunkeln leuchtet. Logik? Keine. Die Metros (Der Albtraum für Orientierungslose): Um nach Washington D.C. zu kommen, musst du durch das U-Bahn-Netz. Diese Tunnel sind das pure Grauen. Sie sehen alle absolut identisch aus, sind voller gruseliger Ghoule und du verläufst dich garantiert drei Stunden lang, nur um am Ende wieder am exakt selben Ausgang rauszukommen. Der Endkampf gegen Windows: Der wahre Endboss in Fallout 3 ist nicht die Enclave, sondern die .exe-Datei. Das Spiel crasht mit Vorliebe genau dann, wenn du seit 45 Minuten nicht mehr gespeichert hast. Wer Fallout 3 ohne dreissig verschiedene Community-Stabilitäts-Mods spielt, verliert schneller die Nerven als ein Bewohner von Vault 101. Fazit: Fallout 3 hat Atmosphäre, aber es ist gealtert wie offene Milch in der prallen Atom-Sonne. Wenn du Bock hast, alle zehn Minuten dein Spiel neu zu starten, weil sich ein Mutant in einer Wand verkeilt hat, oder du einfach Liam Neeson vermisst, greif zu! Alle anderen spielen vermutlich lieber direkt Fallout: New Vegas

Amazing game. A lot of people complain it doesn't work on windows 11 but that's windows 11's fault not the game's, as it works perfectly on Linux.
This game is pretty good when you don't have hbomberguy fans or sweaty nerds (derogatory) breathing down your neck.
