It's Fairy Tail, which is a comfort anime for me and I like the outfits especially Mira's Wedding Dress (Mira is already beautiful overall and the wedding dress somehow multiplies her beauty).
As an absolute Fairy Tail fanatic, absolutely enjoy this game to the fullest. The pacing or uncannon fights personally don´t bother me at all tbh. One thing that bothered me is that it sometimes crashes for no reason.
Contrary to popular opinion, I actually think this game is a step-up form the first one! I love the new fighting system, where you actually have to react in time but still don't get locked into helpless button-mashing. As someone who would never be able to even fight a single monster in a souls-like game, the difficulty for me was very pleasant, though I understand it might bore some better players. However, it is still an improvement compared to the turn-based style of the first one, which didn't really fit Fairy Tail's vibe, I believe. The leveling system of the characters has also seen improvement in my opinion. instead of leveling random characters that you never play with points you gain in missions, you now have to actually use them in fights if you want to level them equally. The leveling now is branched, you get to choose which abilities to put points into first, etc. I quite enjoyed it. HOWEVER, the crafting system at the magic cauldron was annoying garbage and I want nothing to do with it. The fact that you couldn't sell the lacrimas so they just clog up your inventory while you search for the ones you actually want to use? Hot garbage. the fact that you can't reliably farm materials, especially minerals, or buy them from the merchant? Hot garbage. The fact that levelling up one lacrima to full max swallowed soooo much of the materials and then I even have a limit on how many of one item I can carry? Absolute hot garbage. It was so annoying that I at some point completely forewent the lacrima-leveling and just brute forced missions with overlevelled characters. The story felt fresh to me, and maybe it was just a rehash of happenings past S2 (did not continue watching after the aging up time skip at the end of jpn S2) but I was genuinely impressed by how invested I was. The side stories you can listen to at the campfires did not interest me as much, but I still felt like it wasn't just a rehash of the show. Mission wise, the collect missions of the first game made a return, although not as prevalent. Otherwise, most missions lead you through the story in some way, otherwise it's more fighting missions. pretty standard I'd say, nothing special or ground-breaking here. The map design is such a huge improvement, the regions are no longer built like long tunnels that you teleport to from the main city, but you have actual fields and everything connects to each other in a semi-open world. There are now multiple cities to explore and actually do things in. What this game severly lacked for an anime with so many outfit changes for basically all its characters was... different outfits. you get one outfit and later on a differently coloured version of that outfit. Erza is the only exception with her armour here. The DLCs for different outfits I found even worse. Chef outfits? really? why not actual outfits from the show? such a missed opportuniy, I so dearly wanted to dress the chracters up in all their different outfits... ALSO, no Sting or Rogue in this game, not even in the DLCs, Absolute disappointment, I was so sad :( All in all, if the first game was a "maybe, if you really enjoyed the show", then this is a "if you even remotely liked the show, it's a yes". But skip the DLCs.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,402 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

It sure feels like the budget's been upped for this one, though that may not be saying much. Fairy Tail enthusiasts (like myself) will greatly appreciate the detailed open world and lore expansions. The combat system is interesting on paper, but isn't as good as the first game in execution—its breakneck pacing is somewhat at odds with its complexity, and boss fights feel like they're much more about speed, power, and endurance than actual strategy. That said, leveling up to the point where you're wiping out dozens of common enemies in one hit on the overworld is strangely satisfying. All-in-all, not a bad game, but definitely overpriced for what it has to offer. Get it on sale.
