Circa 790 AD. A small band of Norse warriors lands on the shores of England. History may have forgotten their names, but their actions live on. As the chieftain of your clan, let ambition guide your choices in the party-based RPG Expeditions: Viking. How will history remember you?

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 24 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,419 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

a fun turn based adventure. I haven't even left home yet and so much adventure awaits. I'm not far enough along to day more than that. but so far, a solid game with a solid combat system and what seems to be a lot more on the horizon
It's not a bad game, despite its outdated graphics and unpolished interface. I'd give it an average review if I could. It is good at the beginning, but it gets boring after a while because every single battle is virtually identical and there is nothing to do outside combat.
I thought I'd played every party RPG out there, but I'd never heard of this game until it came up on a Steam sale. I'm glad I gave it a chance! Though a little underbaked in places, this was a fun and often challenging adventure with some interesting mechanics that kept me invested the whole way through. I'd strongly recommend reading or watching a beginner's guide before playing as a few confusing mechanics tripped me up at first and I ended up using a save editor to fix some mistakes.
Expeditions: Viking (E:V) is a good game but what holds it back is that it wants to be too many different games. RPG: There are RPG elements and it is nice that choices do matter. There is some banter and it feels like your hird is invested in you. You can develop all your members in a variety of ways, but despite this it does not feel like there is a ton of variety. Tactics game: There is some wonkiness with how battles play out. First is that the AI is either crazy smart (or lazy) and focuses on one target... or they go running off to the other side of the battle map. Otherwise it is a serviceable combat system. Exploration: On the location maps they do a generally good job of telling you where you need to go which is good. The bad is you pretty much have to explore every single map which is on point for being a an rpg. The only benefit here is there is usually material benefit for doing so. The overland map is 100% revealed which for a game about exploring (and pillaging) that is an interesting choice, given the location maps. Overall E:V is a good game and totally worth picking up on sale. It gets a lot of things right and I like it.
Overall great game. Some battles can be quite hard and character development plays a crucial role. Unfortunately there is no respec, some the 1st run might not go well. Choices matter, so there are decent role-play elements. On the negative side, some quests are a bit shallow. 7.5/10
