Circa 790 AD. A small band of Norse warriors lands on the shores of England. History may have forgotten their names, but their actions live on. As the chieftain of your clan, let ambition guide your choices in the party-based RPG Expeditions: Viking. How will history remember you?

Truly nice and challenging game, you can be a peace-loving viking trader-explorer or a murderous viking raider. Which one you like most is totally up to you. Raiding, looting and pillaging what is there not to like? Skåååååål!!
I am loving this game. Looks good, mechanics are good, story is good, love the gameplay. Oftentimes these types of games end up unnecessarily complicated, but this one gets it right. Skills, upgrades, battles, all the "stuff of life" is to the point (of a sword, haha). I bought this quite a while ago but only yesterday said "Hey, I really need to dive into that again, with both feet." I'm glad I did.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 24 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,419 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Excellent turn-based tactics. I played Expeditions: Rome first and enjoyed it a lot. I have to say that I enjoyed Viking even more, as I found it very focused on what it does best, the set-piece battles. I'd say it fits the AA category very well in production value. I found the plot cohesive, the narrative effective and the characters simple but effective. I haven't experienced any crash, nor technical issues. The UI can sometimes be annoying but it's overall functional. As the plot ends up varying a lot (and locking you out of certain quests) depending on your choices, specifically regarding your path to 100 power or prosperity, I definitely recommend reading a detailed guide on how to play. A great Viking experience overall.
Couldn't stomach the bad writing in the tutorial. Seems like it was written by a junior high dungeon master. Exposition dialog + Cringe + Complete with ladyboss sheildmaiden bravado. Had to quit before vomit came up. Might be a good game in there if you aren't bothered by the dialog.
Arguably the best $2 I ever spent. Being a moderate history-buff of feudal Europe, this game has enough historical events in which it really feels like you're making impactful decisions of that time. A lot of time and effort was put into this game, from each interaction shapes how your hird or squad views you, as well as how various factions view you as well. I'm not big into dialogue however it's very polished in this game. This is not my first THQ Nordic game but it is my first Expeditions one, and I enjoyed this one so much that I'll be purchasing the Rome one next. 25 hours to game completion on Medium and there is a bit of replayability due to the sheer number of important decisions you can make.
Expeditions: Viking (E:V) is a good game but what holds it back is that it wants to be too many different games. RPG: There are RPG elements and it is nice that choices do matter. There is some banter and it feels like your hird is invested in you. You can develop all your members in a variety of ways, but despite this it does not feel like there is a ton of variety. Tactics game: There is some wonkiness with how battles play out. First is that the AI is either crazy smart (or lazy) and focuses on one target... or they go running off to the other side of the battle map. Otherwise it is a serviceable combat system. Exploration: On the location maps they do a generally good job of telling you where you need to go which is good. The bad is you pretty much have to explore every single map which is on point for being a an rpg. The only benefit here is there is usually material benefit for doing so. The overland map is 100% revealed which for a game about exploring (and pillaging) that is an interesting choice, given the location maps. Overall E:V is a good game and totally worth picking up on sale. It gets a lot of things right and I like it.
Inwestujesz w palisady przez całą grę a na końcu strzały (oczywiście przeciwnika) przelatują przez mur jak by go nie było.. tylko twoi łucznicy niestety takiego szczęścia nie mają. Dno nie polecam...
It's not a bad game, despite its outdated graphics and unpolished interface. I'd give it an average review if I could. It is good at the beginning, but it gets boring after a while because every single battle is virtually identical and there is nothing to do outside combat.
Некоторых фишек этой игры не хватает Риму, пока лучшая часть серии.
