For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 24 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,404 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

The more I play it the less I enjoy it. The Good: - Graphics are excellent, characters are easily visible and identifiable on the screen with many different equipment models that always leave characters looking unique. - Has an interesting story that includes choice based roleplay conversations. A great deal can be accomplished through dialogue alone but also some conversation dialogue will be inaccessible to you if you don't have the skill or money to make use of it. Sometimes you will have to choose between two suboptimal options or mutually exclusive decisions. This is good roleplay. - Combining the various available weapons kills with the class skill choices makes for interesting and unique character builds. The Bad: - Legion battles are boring and take away from squad missions which are a great deal of fun. Legion control is half of this game and it's miserable drudgery that is forced upon you. - Overworld Map control is poor. Sometimes I send my Legion to a map-marker, sometimes I send my group and I don't feel like I have much control over it. The overworld map also pauses when commands are given, which isn't always obvious when not looking directly at your unit marker, leading to frustration. - Equipment crafting is random here, you never know half the stats you'll get on an item or the attack abilities on an item. Acquiring materials for crafting is quite difficult and there's no way to guarantee stats on an item. Pray to RNGsus but don't count on it. I'm almost done with the game but I can't be bothered to finish it.
I had high expectations about this game but when i dwelled into it, i was immensely disappointed. It is a turn based game but you can't speed up the turns you have to sit and watch every move on the chess board. It is basically a chess game with fairly good dialogs and interactions in it. As someone with ADHD it was unplayable for me, sorry devs.
Expeditions: Rome is a really underrated gem. It doesn't have the razzle-dazzle of big-name fantasy RPGs, but it delivers a fantastic story with some of the best-designed RPG combat I can remember. The characters are well-written and well-voiced, and the immersion into its historical setting is top-notch. Where other historical games might flatten the past for the sake of convenience, E:R really leans into it, with accurately-pronounced Latin, a variety of ancient cultures, and all the complications of the political milieu of the late Roman Republic. That it accomplishes this while also making choices and consequences actually matter in an RPG is frankly a rare achievement. There are some small decisions you make early on that have a serious impact throughout the story, which really impressed me. On top of that, the main villain of the game is wonderfully devious and smart, and overall very memorable in a genre (in my opinion) often made or broken by the quality of its antagonists. The combat system, compared to the developers' first Expeditions game, has really come far. At this point I think it's really a system worth emulating, as while there are a few builds that are evidently powerful, at no point does combat feel like a pushover as it does with other RPGs with "solved" gameplay mechanics. Hard mode, which I played, felt truly hard right up to the end, and I won the final battles by the barest skin of my teeth. I recommend putting the Combat Death setting on as well. Some salt to even out the sugar of this review: the army battle system feels disjointed from the rest of the game, including the story. For one, it doesn't feel like you, the PC, are actually leading any battles - it's more about which four NPCs you delegate it to - and they're all essentially grinding calculator fights where you have to pick the random options that make the enemy's numbers go down faster. Unlike the tactical combat, there's no real thinking here. You make sure you have more troops than the enemy, and pick the cards that don't get your commanders killed. Rinse and repeat. Only a few story quests are specifically tied to conquering provinces; otherwise it's just kind of a slog. The game would feel incomplete without the army mechanics, but as it is they don't feel tied-in to anything else going on. I was expecting my extensive conquests and experienced, high-morale legion to have an impact on gameplay choices - but it never does. In terms of the story, while it does pick up strongly in the end, it gets slow and muddy in Act 3. There's a distinct lack of choices compared to Acts 1 and especially 2, and there's one extremely stupid story quest you're required to do that made me stop playing for a while. I wish that the character development of your companions evolved and expanded in Act 3 rather than petering out. They just don't have as much to say or do there, to say nothing of the relative lack of choices the player gets. The game definitely sticks the landing in the end though, and the whole ending sequence redeemed the otherwise disheartening lows of Act 3. It honestly made me kind of emotional, so while I was originally excited to do a second playthrough, I think now I'll let it settle for a while. I really hope that the successors of Logic Artists make more Expeditions games, and I also hope that they get more attention and love from fans of RPGs. While it doesn't have the huge scope and budget of something like Baldur's Gate 3, E:R fully punches above its weight.
