Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0.57/day in the week to Sep 2 → 0.86/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 23 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 14 places towards #1, and the 2,515 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Turning people to Gold, Get F'd by super agents
Не помню как играл в первую часть в детстве. Но и игру во вторую я тоже не помню. Дизайн классный, девочки-дизайнерши не обкакались. Хорошо.
So I'm gonna be honest, I bounced off this when it first came out. Evil Genius 1 is one of my favorite games and in my opinion 2 doesn't measure up. BUT if you approach it as it's own thing and don't compare it to the original then you can have fun with it. There are some cons though. The minion cap is too low so you will find yourself waiting... a lot. Also traps don't seem necessary at all. You have to build some to interrogate certain characters and a few missions require them but other than that I didn't really use them. Also you can't select multiple items so if you want to relocate a room to another floor it's usually easier to sell everything and rebuy it in the new location than to move everything. But I wouldn't have spent all the time I did with it if I wasn't having fun.

14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Sep 18: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

Evil Genius 1 was my childhood. This is... fine.
I grew up playing the original Evil Genius. Building the perfect lair, torturing agents, world domination — it was pure fun. So when this came out, I had high hopes. Evil Genius 2 is a solid follow-up. The core loop is fun: build your base, train your minions, execute operations. It's noticeably less hardcore than the first game, which honestly isn't a bad thing — EG1 could be brutally unforgiving. This one is more accessible, and there's something genuinely satisfying about the dopamine loop of sending minions on missions and watching the chaos unfold. The problems: The fun starts to wear thin once you've built your base. You can only pursue one side objective at a time, many of them repeat, and you end up just... waiting. The end game feels unbalanced — power management becomes a chore and the minion economy gets frustrating. Controls still feel floaty, which is hard to excuse years after launch. The elephant in the room: The game feels abandoned. No mod support, no meaningful updates. A lot of potential left on the table. Bottom line: If you loved EG1 as a kid, you'll enjoy the nostalgia trip. Just don't expect it to fully recapture that magic. [strike]I wanted to be an evil genius.[/strike]
I just became a frustrated facilities manager.

三块钱澳币买的游戏 物超所值非常好玩 但是千万不要建造机器人手下 这些机器人死时候会爆炸而且还会让你的设施着火非常麻烦
好玩 但有點耗時間
I love all the cartoony villain antics. I hope there will be a third game.
Shame there are no neutral reviews. It's a nice game, which has improved on the original in a lot of ways: fewer bugs, more mechanics, more quality-of-life features. But it doesn't live up to its predecessor's humour! Torturing enemy agents by moonwalk and singing "heee-heee"? Nope. Stuffing them into science devices (probably) built for an entirely different purpose? Sadly, no. Sure, you can put them in traps now, but the animations are exactly the same as if the trap were triggered normally. Yawn... Currently, I've played around 12 hours on my playthrough and I've only found two pieces of (boring) loot. Reading the heist descriptions is also not as fun as it was in part 1, everything is just a boring box to tick. Plus, I'm playing on medium difficulty and I've never been in a real situation where red alert was warranted. So yeah, it's fine, but doesn't live up to expectations...
