Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0.57/day in the week to Sep 2 → 0.86/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 23 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 14 places towards #1, and the 2,515 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Sep 18: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

gg max love gold me to
Merits: ▪ much improved lights and shadows ▪ more playable geniuses ▪ 4 lair locations to choose from ▪ multi story lairs ▪ plenty of upgrades to unlock ▪ a lot more decorations than in EG1 ▪ you can mix and match rooms for stylistic freedom Flaws: ▪ lacklustre, mediocre narrative ▪ the tone is even more silly and childish ▪ some previous characters do not return ▪ can be hard to spot missions on world stage ▪ gets repetitive and tedious Verdict: Evil Genius 2 is undeniably an upgrade over it's predecessor, certainly in graphics and complexity. However, they shifted the tone into parody and cartoonish things, which I feel is a bit too much. The story as such is forgettable, but the base building aspect is addictive. I love how you can customise and make things aesthetic if you like. The side missions and optional objectives are never ending, and often I felt like they are just artificial gating to make the game longer. If you liked the previous one, or you like the dungeon builder genre, I can recommend it. It will keep you entertained for a while. Rating: ★★★☆☆ - Above Average
Love it. Everything great about the original plus some additions.
Das Setting ist cool, die Ideen auch, aber der Funke springt nicht über. Nach 17 Stunden habe ich keine Lust mehr zu hoffen, dass das Spiel gleich "zündet". Schade.
I would give this one a 7/10. It’s pretty fun to play once but can be a pretty repetitive and slow game at times that can scale badly. HOWEVER, first the positives. It's a game that I have honestly had some fun with, designing your evil lair is CERTAINLY an upside to this game. The stories from the quests is enjoyable as well. The music is well done, especially for the High-Alert Tracks. It was quite fun to spend hours on as a base builder, though near the end of my time I did use infinite gold mods to help remove much of the tedium of the later game. The artistic style was neat and clean and the henchman did have a lot of unique mechanics, though some were way better than others. Unfortunately, this game is now without its flaws. Especially for the DLCs. The portal one being a cool concept but VERY tedious to unlock and the underwater one having a super neat new lair, but the new turrets and weapons run out of ammo so fast that it makes them impractical, especially with the portal DLC. It could just be me, but I feel like the scaling was not a great strength of this game as you often feel too weak in the early game and too strong in the late. The super agent rouge ALWAYS got caught as long as I had one henchman in the base, despite stealth being her whole mechanic. It’s a decent game, but nothing too special. It CAN be fun, but you need something to help with the often tedious parts of the game.
I snagged this game on sale so it was a bargain. I never played the original, but this is a fun base building game. It reminds me of the Dungeon Keeper series. It has a different theme, but a similar evil overlord building a dungeon to house their minions and do evil deeds sort of concept.
