4X espacial com uma identidade visual bem bonita, cada raça jogável tem uma pegada estética própria e isso ajuda a diferenciar as partidas. O sistema de combate automático em turnos é simples de entender mas ainda estratégico o suficiente. A IA dos oponentes é meio fraca nos níveis mais baixos e o ritmo do jogo demora pra engrenar, principalmente nas primeiras partidas até você entender as mecânicas de diplomacia e comércio. Multiplayer também está meio vazio hoje em dia. De qualquer forma é uma boa porta de entrada pro gênero 4X espacial se você nunca jogou nada do tipo, ou um passatempo sólido pra quem já curte esse tipo de estratégia.

Хорошая космическая стратегия для тупеньких вроде меня - простите, для начинающих в этом жанре. Интерфейс интуитивно понятен, микроменеджмент не душит (хотя, когда под вашим контролем пол-галактики, начинаешь всё-таки в планетах путаться - впрочем, быть может, это только я, совсем не спец в стратегиях, путаюсь :-))) Вот что душит, так это ИИ даже на нормальном уровне сложности, молчу про более высокие. Только вроде окрепнет твоя империя, раз - а соперник уже победил (часто тот, кого первым встречаете, остаётся основным противником в самом конце). Опять же, быть может, это только моё впечатление, а для нормальных стратеголюбов, которым Стелларис по колено, взять всю галактику в Endless Space на повышенной сложности - лёгкое развлечение на один вечерок :-))) Лор незамысловат и, в общем-то, типичен для космоопер - но это и неплохо, к чему лишние заморочки... Все фракции по-своему симпатичны, хочется поиграть за каждую (хотя лично для меня неизменными любимцами навсегда останутся учёные софоны). Можно создать и свою фракцию - правда, внешность у неё будет, как у одной из тех, что по умолчанию - но это не критично. Отдельный плюс - музыка. Ненавязчивая, но не нудная, как нередко бывает в подобных вещах, а наоборот, очень приятная. И всё-таки, главный показатель качества игры лично для меня - это то, как в ней легко залипнуть. Ещё одну систему колонизирую, и спать. Ещё один корабль построю, и точно спать. Ещё один договор заключаю, и сто процентов баиньки! Ещё только один ход, и всё!..
Although I prefer ES2, this game is a gem, and the Horatio in ES1 are more perfect.
