Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0.14/day in the week to Aug 17 → 1.43/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 24 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,404 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Reviews
Game has many bugs and it is abandon-ware. I really like the idea of the game but it is too unpolished to recommend.
The bugs and lack of polish in this game make a Bethesda game look positively saintly. Edit: I've finally given up and uninstalled the game after encountering a major bug that stops the story quest from progressing further. Also after a short while the gameplay becomes boring and repetitive and you can steamroll the game fairly easily. This game had a lot of potential but clearly abandoned by the developers.

Compared to Omerta - 10 years older - it loses, even the graphics. Expected more of it.
good game, good concept, fun, but still broken, sadly
Empire of Sin – A Tactical Take Worth Revisiting As someone who grew up playing classics like Gangsters: Organized Crime and Mob Rule, I approached Empire of Sin with both nostalgia and high expectations. It’s true that the game launched in 2021 with more bugs than bullets in a Tommy gun, and it took time for the developers to stabilize the experience. But once you're in, there’s a strategic depth and charm that sets this game apart from other entries in the genre. What really shines in Empire of Sin is the turn-based tactical combat (Like XCOM, Jagged Alliance, Wartales). Every fight feels personal. The mechanics reward smart positioning, synergy between crew abilities, and careful planning. This isn’t just a numbers game—it’s a street-level chess match with tommy guns and grenades. The character relationship system is another standout. Crew members aren’t just interchangeable units—they have backstories, relationships, grudges, and romantic ties that affect gameplay. It feels more like managing a dysfunctional criminal family than an anonymous empire, and that’s a strength. It adds personality and unpredictability to each playthrough. I also appreciate the simplified business management. Some older titles buried you in resource logistics. Here, once a racket is up and running, you don’t have to micromanage supply chains. That lets you focus more on expansion, strategy, and interaction—especially exploring neighborhoods, which actually matters in Empire of Sin. You’ll uncover new businesses, interact with minor factions, and get drawn into side stories that give the city texture. For future updates, I’d love to see more assignable tasks for our crew, similar to older titles. Right now, crew members are mostly tied to combat or guarding rackets. Giving them more proactive responsibilities—like collecting debts, bribing cops, or building relationships—would bring more utility to your gang outside of battle. Second, there’s a real opportunity to make neighborhoods feel even more alive. Let us meet and recruit local citizens. Maybe each district has unique hires or passive benefits that reward deeper exploration. It would fit the game’s tone and further differentiate territories beyond just who owns them. In short: Empire of Sin may not be the economic simulator some were expecting, but for those of us who value story-rich, tactical gameplay, it’s a worthy addition to the gangster genre. Don’t write it off because it isn’t a clone of what came before. Embrace what it does differently—and hope the next iteration builds on its promising foundation.
I really can't recommend this game right now. I played it a while back and I have been looking forward to the dlc as the last one did improve the game quiet a bit. The DLC I am referring to is the Expansion Pack 2. For context, if you bought the season pass it was promised 3 expansion packs, so that would be the second one to be released. Well, that was back in May 2022. We're now in November 2023, last update/comment was in November 2021 (Yeah, weird timeline right?), heading to the second year with no news on this pack. The most insulting fact is that the pack is still available for pre-purchase, which is just ridiculous when everything indicates they have abandoned the game. That is, essentially, a fraud. If they ever release it or revive the game I'll consider changing my review, but as is, they're stealing people's money. If you can, report the Expansion Pack. With a bit of luck, Steam will at least block its sale.
I really enjoy playing this game but the glitches annoy me. I wish the developers would fix this
I like the everything in the game, but one thing - completely unbalanced computer players system. I played on normal difficulty, and it was like: you make 10-15 damage, they - 40 damage. All the time. You gather hell of a team, take out every establishment, and then go after a boss and loose 100% of time. Also I found it's much more profitable to use "Auto resolve", after which every character had 100% health, but if you fight personally - all return with severe loss. Similar goes with economics. Booring awaiting to get money, to upgrade to get subtle change. Just booring economics.
