Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0.86/day in the week to Sep 10 → 2/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,402 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Overall, a very pleasant surprise. The game brings a lot of good ideas to the table, with a very large cast (around 110 unlockable characters, which is quite impressive). The story isn’t the most original out there, but it’s well-executed and effective. What really stood out to me was the presentation and production value: for a 2D/3D game, key moments and boss fights are really well handled, with great atmosphere and a solid sense of pacing. I was especially impressed and delighted by the duel system that kicks in during some key story moments. I’ve never played Suikoden, so I don’t know if it draws from that, but it’s a fantastic mechanic that more JRPGs should use for major confrontations. In terms of quality of life, there’s still room for improvement. Some menus lack clarity or feel a bit sluggish. Recruitment missions are hit or miss—some are well-designed and original, while others are confusing or boil down to fetch quests that are hard to manage without a guide. Personally, I played part of the game, especially the recruitment phases, with IGN open on the side. As for playtime, I finished it in about 50 hours—not rushing, but not going for 100% either—which I find very reasonable. I can see the game offering even more content (recruitment, town building, minigames, boss rush, etc.), but that’s not really what I look for in this kind of game. Despite a few flaws, the overall experience is very positive. I definitely recommend it to fans of the genre.
I had to finish this game twice because on my first playthrough, I failed to recruit the very last character and I was so annoyed ! Story-wise, this game clearly stands no chance against Suikoden 2. However, when it comes to the music, graphics, and castle/town management, it is definitely a step up—though I know that is highly subjective for everyone. If you are a Suikoden player, you won't have any trouble learning the ropes of this game. I only have one piece of advice: don’t set your expectations for the story too high like Suikoden 2, because I already know you will end up disappointed.
Not sure what everyone else is talking about with bugs and stuff... Been going at it for 20+ hours now and not hit anything. Battle system is fun and not overly complicated, which makes it nice since you have 100+ characters. It almost feels like most negative commenters here don't seem to understand, nor have played, old school JRPGs... There's grinding, dead ends, lack of save points ever 2 feet, fun mini-games that are super frustrating, kind of vague descriptions on what to do next and mechanics... Like, this is kind of gold y'all.. Buy it!
A truly heartfelt made game. Glad I didn't listen to the complaints about its woke localization.. The localization is poor for other far more other important reasons. It doesn't explain the attributes at all (as well as other parts of the game.....ever! Soundtrack is absolutely sublime. Voice direction and casting is superb. Way more good than bad. Don't hesitate to buy it.
As a longtime JRPG fan since the PlayStation 1 era, I can confidently say that Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes is everything I hoped it would be. Created by the original minds behind Suikoden 1 & 2, this game feels like a true spiritual successor a love letter to the golden age of JRPGs, while also modernizing the formula for today’s players. A Grand and Ambitious Story The narrative is classic yet refreshing: a tale of war, politics, betrayal, and alliances, told through both large-scale conflicts and deeply personal moments. • Complex and rewarding political intrigue • Antagonists with real motivations, not just cartoon villains • Balance between epic war and personal stories Recruitment: Building Your Own Army Over 120 recruitable characters (100+ playable), each with unique traits. • Some heroes have special abilities or magic • Others shine through team synergy • Combo techniques (duo, trio, etc.) that unlock powerful attacks Even non-combat characters enrich your HQ by opening shops, services, or activities. Every recruit matters. Combat and Customization Classic turn-based combat, polished with modern systems: • Strategic turn order and challenging bosses • Team combo attacks for unique synergies • Deep customization via equipment (weapons, armor, accessories) • The Rune system lets you assign spells, buffs, and abilities giving depth to every character Headquarters: A Living Base Your HQ evolves as you recruit more characters: • Unlock new shops, forges, and facilities • Characters interact, making the base feel alive • Becomes a true home for your growing army Art Direction & OST • Gorgeous HD-2D visuals (sprite characters in detailed 3D environments) • A phenomenal soundtrack with epic battle themes and emotional melodies Pros Deep and ambitious story 120+ recruitable characters (100+ playable) Rune system + equipment customization Unique combo attacks Living and evolving HQ Beautiful visuals & great soundtrack Cons – Slow start before the story really picks up – Some characters feel less developed – The sheer number of heroes can be overwhelming Conclusion Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes is more than nostalgia it’s a fully realized JRPG that blends classic design with modern execution. Between the rune system, equipment customization, massive recruitment, and a story that mixes epic war with personal drama, this game stands tall as one of the most rewarding RPGs in recent years. For Suikoden fans: this is the dream come true. For newcomers: the perfect way to discover the soul of JRPGs.
A faithful successor to the Suikoden series, this game brings back many of the classic elements: character recruitment, castle building, rune‑based lore, weapon upgrades, trading, and mini‑games. It’s fun, the character designs are excellent, and having every character fully voiced adds a lot of charm. But, the story doesn't quite land. Suikoden storylines were never groundbreaking, but they always carried emotional punch and political intrigue. Here, the pacing and buildup never reach that same tension, the plot feels patchy and falls flat. The villain is disappointingly one‑dimensional, feels more of a plot device rather than a character. The main casts are also underdeveloped, with weak backstories too thin to truly resonate (Rising did a better job with the character building). The 3D environments look great and are filled with cool details, but the storyline animation feels jumpy and inconsistent, which pulled me out of the experience more often than I'd like. Still, even with all the flaws, I'm genuinely grateful this game exists. It carries the spirit of a beloved series forward, and there’s something heartwarming about seeing that legacy continue.
