Dieses Spiel ist für das was es sein will nahezu perfekt finde ich. Es passt einfach. Die Länge, kurzweilige flotte Kämpfe, Abwechslungsreiche und nicht zu große Gebiete und gute Musik. Eine schöne Story mit teils wirklich intelligenten Dialogen und erwachsen vorgetragenen kleinen Geschichten und (meist) glaubwürdigen Charakteren. Dazu eingestreute Witze, ohne zu übertreiben, und nen lustigen Sidekick, der aber nicht aufdringlichen und ernsthaft hilfreich ist. Ich finds klasse :-)

THE quintessential furry metriodvania. Compelling story, if a bit amatureish Great combat. Tho the bosses can feel weaker than some standard enemies sometimes. Fantastic visual style aside from the early 2000s school animation project looking cutscenes and slightly odd shading on some characters. Particularly Avgustin. The balance feels a little bit off. Feels like enemies hit you too hard and you deal too much damage to some enemies and not enough damage to others. But it's fine. I am playing on the hardest difficulty but even on lower difficulties you can get caught off guard by a giant taking out half your health in one hit. But like, the game was made almost entirely by a single person. For what it is, it's insane.

It's a one of a kind. There are very few, less than a single hand full, self-insert furry games that exist; Let alone quality that is actually worth your time that is. There are other games that come to mind: Conker's Bad Fur Day / Live & Reloaded Sonic Adventure 1 & 2 These selections are a bit arbitrary when it comes to certain details and themes. They don't actually fit the specifications that I'm looking for. Dust: An Elysian Tail is a self-insert furry fantasy game that draws in inspiration from The Legend of Zelda, Dark Cloud and similar titles. It's the perfect hero story featuring a lone warrior who represents the fusion of a hero and a villain who wields the powerful blade of Ahrah. This game touches on certain themes that provoke internal insecurity within every person. The biggest one being furry waifu worship with certain female characters that are included in the game. It's one of the biggest reasons that make this title difficult; The untouchable link to furry porn upon immediate visual inspection of the game. Functionally speaking, it's a side-scrolling "Metroidvania" styled game. You play as the sword-bearing Dust who hacks, slashes, and wages war with every enemy. You traverse the wonderful world of Elysium and its many environments. I particularly like Archers' Pass a lot. The theme of large colossal stone structures of warriors and soldiers reminds me of the character "Colossus" from SOULCALIBUR III. Lots of collectibles, secrets, and abilities to unlock. It's relatively a big world separated into different levels. Each level is cut into blocks that are arranged in a grid-like matrix. Overall you have a lot of action RPG elements such as upgrading your character's stats with each level up given XP from battling enemies. I really like the music and the animation in this game. It's meant to be heroic and romantic. Oh yeah, the combat is very good. This game represents a highly specific bullseye.
