About
Dungeon Settlers is a dark fantasy strategy game that combines colony simulation and dungeon crawling. As the leader of an expedition sent by the Guild, your mission is to explore, conquer, and destroy the dungeon which is the source of all calamities. To do so, you’ll need to build a settlement in the barren land and prepare your people for the dangers ahead.
This is a ‘Hardcore Strategy’ game. Train your members strategically by considering their equipment, skills, and traits, then form a party of up to four. In real-time with pause tactical combat with no turn or round limits, analyze enemy traits and patterns to outmaneuver them and achieve victory. But remember once dead, there is no coming back...

Build a settlement in the desolate land, isolated by magical erosion. Design rooms freely by placing walls and doors to meet your members’ needs—create bedrooms and dining areas, and set up a forge with anvils and smelters. Cultivate fields to grow crops. Manage your resources efficiently to survive, and produce rations and camping supplies for the next expedition. Unlock new buildings and equipment through research.

Each member has six major abilities and talents, along with dozens of combat and life-related stats. They also possess various traits based on race, background, and personality—such as a curious Lizardman with a drifter’s past. Recruit promising candidates and help them grow through leveling. Equip them with powerful equipments and carefully build a four-member expedition party with synergistic skill trees such as sword/mace/bow/fire magic.

Combat takes place in real time, but you can pause at any moment to think strategically. Plan your tactics using a variety of effects and mechanics—stun, bleed, burn, provoke, vulnerable, charge attacks, summons, and more. Position your party wisely, exploit enemy weaknesses, and utilize your skills at the right time. Even hopeless battles can be overcome with the right strategy.

Each dungeon expedition is randomly composed, with floors and rooms changing each time. Regions apply different random environmental effects. The deeper you go, the rarer and more valuable the resources become—but so do the threats. You’ll encounter the remnants of magical experiments, such as towering golems or acid-spitting monsters. Secure wood logs, herbs, gemstone veins, and mysterious mandrake. Trade with dungeon merchants, and face ancient tree that demand blood to bear forbidden fruit.

I enjoyed the entire game as a whole, early game starvation was the only real wall that needed to be passed, after that point its smooth sailing. Growing up playing Starcraft kinda made all the micro/macro managing super easy for me. - Camping out in the dungeon was a cool aspect that should probably be built more upon, like setting up camp near a body of water gives bonuses, but you are more prone to attacks or see rare creature events. - Would be cool if there was a way to toggle to individual characters on demand to quick cast there skills.

This game has potential. Really enjoying it.
Pretty good, like Solo Leveling meets Rim World.
So far I have not run into any ground breaking issues. The 5th wheel stays at home and does his research like a good little pawn. The 4 that go into the dungeon complain a bit but I allow them the luxury of tents so they don't hate thier lives. The base is coming along nicely. I have expanded it to about tripple the size. Other than that, I'm quite enjoying abusing my peons.
The game has a lot of potential, but at the moment there’s only enough content for about two days of play. The dungeon-crawling part is fun and already works quite well, but the colony-building side still feels very shallow. There are too few research options, and most of them are basically mandatory if you want to progress, so there isn’t much room to make meaningful choices or develop your settlement in a different direction. You can clearly see the RimWorld inspiration, but one of the things that makes RimWorld so interesting is that you can actually decide what kind of colony you want to build. There are tons of different options, playstyles and progression paths, some of which are even mutually exclusive. Here, instead, the colony progression currently feels very linear: you simply keep unlocking what you need until you eventually hit the content cap. There are very few decisions that significantly affect how your colony develops, so the settlement side feels more like a progression requirement than a real colony-building system. That being said, the game is still in early development, and I genuinely enjoyed the time I spent with it. The core idea is very promising, especially the combination of dungeon crawling and colony management. I just hope the developers expand the colony-building mechanics, add more meaningful choices and progression paths, and release new content quickly enough to keep the game interesting. Definitely one to keep an eye on.
Really nice but the morale penalty when playing on easy need rebalancing.
A good game, with good pixel art and quite a few depth in the gameplay. The dev are working hard and listen to the communauty so it's definitively worth a buy or at least, to keep an eye on the game if it's your stuff.
I love this game. There is a lot of bugs which is to be expected. I had a character get the hunger debuff that never went away so she ate all the settlement food :( Will need to get rid of her after I pour resources and countless time rerolling skills. Mercenaries you can hired need to have an increase likely hood of having better skills otherwise there is no point to hire a lv4 adventurer when you can grow and reroll skills on a level 1 adventurer. Please dont nerf rerolling just raise price of adventurer if they have better skills and make it so that the higher the level of an adventurer increases the likely hood of them getting better skills/talents when they level up.
